the bulbs your talking about are inside these simple twist off capsules. Pop your hood and reach in with your thumb and index and turn it probably counter clockwise.

get off the chair. walk to your garage. open your passenger door. open your glove box...theres a book in there. open it. read. soak in all that knowledge.

If you put the new, white bulbs behind an amber colored lens, you will see amber color. The new bulbs will probably produce more light output though.
