Default what tint % would you recommend for a Superblack Z

i want to tint my superblack...but i'm not sure what will look the best. toss the word illegal out the door...what would do you guys think would be best?

any super blacks out there with piCs?

i guess i'll search the superblack thread again...but for some reason it still doesn't justify the reality look of it.

I'm going to go 25% all around on my SB. (which is illegal here). I figure it's not too dark where it would become a problem to see thru while driving at night. And that it's dark enough to look excellent on the SB during the day.

i have 50% on the sides and 20% on the rear on my SS. i have "cool chome" tint (meaning that its a little relfective at some angles). what color tint are you getting?? black? i'd recommend 35% on the sides and 20% in the rear.

I have 20% on the side windows; and 5% on the qaurter windows; back window; and visor strip.

awesome combination. your hatch area is basicly hidden, so thats sort of a safety thing where people wont break in to steal what they cant see. at night you gotta roll your window down if your in a dark spot backing up; but on open roads; you can see out the sides fine at night; and all windows during the day.

looks damn good; I wish the sides were 5%, but woudlnt do that for visibility reasons.

20 % is too dark... I used to have it. On a black car, with a dark interior....35% is ideal!

Personally I prefer the titanium tint on black Z's. The blank tint kind of mushes it all together, makes it hard to see the lines of the car. I only really like black tint on the black Z's if you're going to black out the whole car. Might as well go all the way with the concept I guess.

Here's mine w/ 35% titanium tint.

As a side note, keeps the car a HELL of a lot cooler than black tint. (I own 3 black cars in Texas and had black tint in them before; pulled it all out, all titanium tint now).

It's a little more than black because the tint is more expensive. I think my whole car done in 35% was about $140.

I think the lexus suv is all titanium tinted now... looks cool... Jeff, do you have anymore pics... your titanium is coming off green in that pic and I just wanted to see it at the true color... Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't have a ton of pics of my car (I'm not one of those peeps hehe). But from the ones I have it really takes in the colors of what's around it. So it's really hard to show.

Just think like kind of a dark silvery-grey mirror kind of.

I tried to take some more pictures today while the sun was out (it's all overcast now) but one of my damn friends f'd the white balance all up on my camera and the pics are totally washed out.

In hindsight, I guess the windows do have kind of a silvery-blue-green feel to them.

I dunno, I really like it on the black.
