And I agree that the shop quotes are too high but PPG, Glazurite, House of Kolor and all the other top brands are going to be well over $100 for one pint of paint material.

Why in gods name would you buy a pint of paint for two small *** pieces? Black is cheap very cheap. People keep putting PPG on a high stool and it's not near the best out there. Dude look around locally for someone who does side work and bam your done.

I was thinking about getting them flat black. I think gloss stands out too much and takes your eyes off of the rest of the car. Thanks for all the advice.

You might want to ask around in the South Central forum for a local painter:

I would suggest waiting until you had more parts that you wanted painted and doing these at the same time so it's less downtime for your car.

I get compliments all the time on my handles but my car carries the black and silver theme throughout, you should also look to have other black items so it doesn't look out of place

I bought mine from someone else for $75 but I beleive he paid closer to $150 to have them painted

Thanks for the advice. I found a guy that will paint them for $200 but my sister's boyfriend's dad owns a body/paint shop in Mississippi and said he'll do them real cheap since we are pretty much family. Sent them off today and all he wants is $20. We will see how they turn out.

Just Plastidip and be done with it. Can't beat 6 bucks from Home Depot and you can peel it off if you don't like it. Mine pictured above done in PD.

I spent $48 on mixed paint supplies from a local auto parts store, borrowed a gun and a tank from a coworker, and had enough paint to do plenty more than just the handles. Even if the car isn't black, it still looks better than stock.

Photo quality kinda sucks but you get the idea
