My buddy re-did his oem seats with alcantera. It looks pretty good. The only thing is he took time making it look perfect pulling apart every section of his seats getting an oem look. I think if you really put tons of effort into it you could get something clean and you would like.

I like the suede idea, but I don't like how you executed it.
As for the rest of the interior, it depends on what you're looking for. There's plenty that could be upgraded, so you need to decide what your goal is and go from there. For example, you might want a black/silver color scheme, so maybe some silver stitching for the door handle leather, a new steering wheel w/ silver stitch, upgrade the odometer and get black/silver gauge face w/ white LEDs, a new shift ****, new shift boot, maybe do something with the rear strut bar and paint the door switch panels to match the center console....that's a lot though. I don't know how far you want to go with your car, but those are just some ideas.
Goodluck with the upgrading, I'm interested to see what you end up doing.

OP,
People are being surprisingly harsh. This has all the potential in the world. Maybe it's just due to the pictures being so washed out, but keep your chin up.
I've done some 'faux' suede wrapping in mine so I can tell you that it looks great when it is done right. The biggest issue I see is that you didn't separate the door panel in order to fully wrap the fabric around the middle edge and it doesn't appear that you fully wrapped around the window edge either... You MUST wrap the fabric around the edges.
Keep trying.

Are there different qualities of this faux Alcantara and suede available cos i really don't want to be rude but this really does look cheap. I've been thinking of doing this to my car but this has really put me off until i can find out more about this material and if there are different qualities available.

You can tuck the edges, just cut a slit or hole for the door clips. it should fit fine. No grinding to compensate for the material thickness or any of that stuff. I think it would look great if done properly.Your only issue would be tucking by the window, hopefully not moving the material up and down when you roll the window up and down if you know what im saying.

Yea there are different types but I made sure I got the straight up fabric with no stretch cause that was what I found out through the other threads. It ran sticker price at $24.95/yd and I only wanted two but they had like 2.5 so I got an extra .5 yds for free
