Default Install help NRG short Hub Grip royal steering wheel

So went to install the new steering wheel to find everything to be off centered and I was curious as to why. I have some pics ill post below. From what I did was the full DIY thread here on the forum.

https://my350z.com/forum/body-interi...stall-diy.html

But noticed as well other than mine is that he has a different bolt pattern steering wheel. So I did a little research and couldnt find much except a few pics of people who have the same pattern as mine with the same hub and a proper install

In short but correct me if Im wrong. Is it people are installing the short hub with the nrg facing 2 oclock instead of at the twelve oclock position?? Also what is the blinker problem people are having? I read that the Nipple needs to be at twelve oclock when putting on the hub, which wont be possible if I shift the short hub over. Will I lose my blinkers etc?? Any and all help is appreciated. Also this might be my first real post on here so Hi people of my350z Name is Michael and from central cali. Na12uto is the username on here and zilvia now pics of my off center steering wheel

I noticed that as well but as I trying to get any info is if it is going to affect the turn signals. Im sure clarification would help. With my short hub came also two resistors, I believe they are called, for the SMS light and worked fine. I will be giving it a second chance installing it is saturday.

You need a steering wheel bolt pattern adapter.

I had that same issue. Turned out my wheel wasn't straight. I straightened the wheel and viola. I was set to go. It was a good time. My NRG is SLIGHTLY off center but my wheel is not. I have no issues with turn signals nor wipers. But, my car is a G35. If you want, PM me and I'll take some pics when it gets out of paint.

Yea I ended up actually just offsetting the NRG hub and all my blinkers work fine and the SRS doesnt come on Here are the after Pics

I would have to admit. Having the adapter would have saved me but this hasnt caused me any problems and works fine. I will say though on another plus the blinkers and everything are in a perfect place and not far at all to reach as when the QR (2.0) was on it was too far to reach

Correct which is another thing I hear people say about installing the steering wheel, "you need a quick release in order to install." Which isnt true at all for my case at all as you can see. Like i stated I just rotated the Short Hub a little so this way the steering wheel would mount straight. Though Im sure though if you dont have a deep dish steering wheel you might have some problems with blinker switches. The Royal fits perfectly though and couldnt be happier with the results.

lol the stock one looks like **** too hahaha and it is scratching off its finish. Until I get an Orido style one this will do much better than most oh and matches the Brickyard style pretty well. Thanks though

Holy Mother of Poop that wheel looks awful - although it would look perfectly at home in a classic muscle car or an old datsun. For a Z I would have gone with black or brushed metal spokes, there's nothing wrong with the wood - but chrome clashes with the interior of the z as there is no chrome whatsoever anywhere else in the car inside or out... Would have gone with the black Crest horn button as well...oh well...to each his own - if you like it I guess thats good.

there is all that shitty silver crap as linings to the shift bezel and pod pieces and the gauges so it actually does fit the part. Counting the fact like I said girls love the WOOD lol and the murdered out leather one is going in the Gentelmans S13

I don't understand how you or anyone else didn't have the problem I have. when I installed my gr steering wheel and offset the hub after I drive 10 mph both the traction control and slip light stay on forever. I researched this and supposedly it because the plate underneath the hub with the nipple is connected to the steering angle sensor so when you turn the hub the computer thinks your constantly turning when your actually driving straight. Anybody have any insight to this? how come it didn't happen to you OP?
