Default BLK Housing rear turn signals/reverse lights

Just painted my turn signals/ reverse lights housing black today. I followed the threads for removing the lights and baking them. I used an Ultra Flat Black from Krylon. Was a cheap and extremely easy mod and I'm happy with the results. Next step is to throw some LEDs in.

They look good.
However, you could get the same look for less time and money by
using smoke vinyl overlays.I have e'm on my car also on side relectors.
Been on for 3 years.Still look the same as the day I installed e'm.

Looks nice, the overlays would decrease the brightness of the bulbs so I'd rather have this.

Have you actually seen the overlays on a Z&noted the change in brightness?
Or,you think thats what would be the result? As far as backup lights go&T signals,
with the overlays they are more than adequate.LEDS are overkill.
Lets be honest, the trend on the LED'S is because itsthe fad thing to do.
Go to any of the auto chain stores. There is an entire aisle devoted to LED's.
Audi started the movement.Gotta admit, some cars look good with them on the front as long as its not overdone.
You go overboard on these,it borders on ricer.

And flat black housings diminish all of the reflectors' effectiveness.

I have overlays on mine and am happy that I can just peel them off to go back to stock. However, yours did turn out nicely.
