Hit a dog. Need a bumper.

but the part where you messed op is where you just drove off without a single fk given. Yes, I know there is nothing you could do (so you say) but how about show a little compassion towards the situation?
It's not like you were at fault (?)
but would you have drove off if the dog had been a kid?
Also, you said you were in a neighborhood.
Were you flying through the neighborhood not paying attention because that's what it sounds like. The reason I ask is because anytime you are driving through a neighborhood you should be driving slow and paying attention to both sides of the street.
Had that been the case you might have seen the dog roaming around and proceeded to be extra cautious in fear that it might bolt.
Just saying.

We as in dog lovers which obviously you aren't.
How about you tell us that in your original post to end all speculation? Since you were on a main road it makes more sense. See how that works?
If what you said above is true then I agree.
I see the difference, I just don't think you do. Whether you believe it or not most dog owners view them as an extension of their family. Perspective, have some.
Again, had you stated this in your original post speculation would have been rendered moot.
If I had the whole story I would have not tried to place blame.
If you told the whole story then I wouldn't be making assumptions. See where I'm going here?
All speculation when there are no facts. Ding Ding.

It was not the case. You're making assumptions you can't support. Dog bolted up out of a ditch chasing the car in front of me. Was heading back to the ditch and turned and ran in front of me. No time to react or avoid. Sorry to disappoint you but this was an unavoidable situation.

Going to the track has ruined the paint on my hood. I think I'll get them to spay it when they do the bumper. Wonder if a flat black hood on a Daytona Blue Z would look good.............wheels are black RPF1s.

Here is an idea. Start a new thread asking which bumper you should buy (I would go with the V3 btw) so this other crap it's a part of it? Genius isn't? In any matter, good luck.

So here's a concept to try on for size: get the facts before you form an opinion, especially if that opinion accuses someone for doing some wrong. Its a pretty fundemental concept....outside of Iran and North Korea.
I'm outta here.

I never asked the forum "to not speculate". But at the same time I did not ask the forum to speculate about the circumstance either. If someone decides to speculate that is their business. And if they speulate and are utterly wrong in all of their conclusions that is their problem too, not mine. And in your case, you formed your negative opinions not only without the necessary facts but without even asking for them.

That would be like someone making a thread saying "out ran police, need new tires" without giving any detail about the chase. Do you not see the parallel there?
Perspective man, have some. Oh well, looks we're both out of here.

I'm only saying that because it seems that you just can't let go. The details of the whole event is clear, yet the dead dog scenerio is the focus here. Once again I'm glad that there wasn't a wreck where one or more people could have been seriously hurt; that is the priority here, not a dog that ran out in the road because maybe the owners could have been a little more responsible. What would you have done at 40 mph? Turn into traffic, a tree or parked car, or hit the dog and keep the car pointed straight? Don't mean to offend you but this all is very obvious as to what happened and yet some just won't let it go. The driver here said that he owns a dog, felt bad, pulled over and had no idea which house the dog came from, etc. Just be glad that he or his wife or potentially other people were not involved in a wreck. *for the record I admit I get teary eyed watching certain movies; can't get through the final scene of Titanic and others for example haha! Ok laugh but I admitted it! What's a Waffle anyway? Haven't heard that one, but I guess I am one, hope it's not too bad; got many many close friends also.
