Ahhhhhh so now I have to open them or let them dry and try silicone I guess . Besides the headlight bulbs and blinker bulbs what is that other bulb that goes in the headlight ? Looks like an led slot

Haven't had an issue and also local. Did you carry over both ballast gaskets and the gaskets for the white twist covering?

I was just about done when I realized I left a gasket off one of the ballasts so I had to go back, remove, and re install with the second ballast gasket to avoid future condensation.

Mine had condensation in them for about the first week or two. It cleared up on its own.

Each headlight had 1 gasket per ballast and 1 per white cap on the back. I was just saying I forgot to put 1 of the ballast gaskets back on the new lights but went back to avoid condensation, just throwing it out there in case you might have forgotten it too. I didn't see it the first time around, was stuck to my old headlight and found it on the second one.

My last and final question in regards to these depot headlights I'm starting to regret getting .
What would cause my turn signals not to work on these? I put my signal on and it blinks fast in the cabin as if the bulbs are out or burnt out ? All bulbs are in and working btw .
Cutting the blue wire makes the blinkers work ? Or

When that happens it's because a bulb is going out, or is out. It could be your rear turn signal bulbs too. I'd check all 4 turn signal bulbs. Blinking fast inside the car has nothing to do with the headlights. Unless you wired something wrong.

Both bulbs are on and the right blinker blinks at normal pace. The left one blinks fast and doesn't blink up front ? Brand new bulbs and both work when on , just the driver doesn't blink ??

What is everyone using to re-seal their lights? Going to take on this project this weekend.

And to answer the question D2R and D2S. Just spend the $50 to get the D2S bulbs.

D2R (R - being for reflective) are why the 03-05 headlights have a projector lens WITH a reflector on the sides.

The D2S bulb is meant for full light output through the projector lens.

if i could do this over, i'd prod use the nissan butyl tape sealer for a cleaner seal. not sure how it'll hold up though.

How much is the mod going to cost you and where did you get your stuff to do it from as there are a couple of vendors and I'm unsure of which one to go with . Thanks in advance
The seal was just so tight on them from never being opened that I had to pry the covers open. I just felt like I was breaking them at first. lol

---Parts list---

STi lenses and D2S bulbs are from The Retrofit Source

Got some red LED's for the Demon eye mod off Ebay (make sure to get ones that have a resister inline, otherwise they will just burn out with 12v)

And the halos for the Iron Man mod were from retro-solutions.net. I got them in the 95mm size.

If I'm having oxidation on the lower part of my lights (inside the light has moisture when it rains )can I just seal over the current seal to stop this ? Silicone anything specific ?

I would use a headlight restoration kit to remove the oxidation before sealing. Most kits should come with a sealant as well so anything that gets removed in the cleaning process can be resealed.

D2S is actually pretty good on the 03-05 OEM headlights too. Noticeably brighter without much added glare.

But yea for this it's absolutely worth it. Even more worth it to get some name brand bulbs like the Philips 85122+s

Ok, so haven't done much searching, but how did people go about with the IronMan mod? Mine didn't have any clear spots on the shrouds, other than the lines down the sides....I sanded off some paint, but it didn't look right, so ended up painting over the shroud and saying hell with the mod. Plus I accidentally broke a CCFL Halo and didn't feel like waiting a week to get this project finished lol

So I guess I'm just wondering if some have the clear spots, or if they have to be "made"
