Default 350z Knee Pad Bolsters

I have a 2004 350z and the Knee pad bolster on the drivers side is coming undone which makes it look awful. The leather is coming off the padding which can be easily repaired using some upholstery glue but I don't know how to take the darn thing off.
Any one here know how to take those things off in order to repair them? Any suggestions as to whether I should repair them or remove them altogether?

Thank you for the help in advance!

(I should mention this is my first Z and bought it back in March. I LOVE IT!)

The knee pad is vinyl and like you said the reinforcement glue is coming undone. I recommend removing the plate with the pad on it them I used a solder gun to melt the little plastic welds on the inside of the plate and then the knee pad comes right off. Buy some spray glue at Home Depot and fix the vinyl then reinstall by using the solder gun to melt it back on through the back side of the plate. This is super easy to do as i have done it to wrap the plate and pad in leather. To remove the plate though it's easiest to remove the center console and shifter plate, then remove the only screw and pop the plate off (the plate is mostly held on by plastic clips).
