03- 05 headlamp question...
On the stock 03- 05 headlamps... There is a bulb (appears to be an led) that is off to the side of the high beam bulb and uses the same area of the reflector... What does that bulb do?? I've NEVER seen it on on either side of my car... No clue why its there or what it does... I've searched around, but I'm only getting hits for aftermarket led headlamps when I do.

This is often called a city light or a parking light. It illuminates the housing a little, without shining much light forward like an actual headlight. They come on with the first notch of the headlight switch. I think lots of BMW's and VW's have them as well.

Yeah that's the one I was referring to... Thanks for the info guys. I'm thinking of not bothering with trying to get them working on mine if that's all they do... Anybody have pictures with the headllamp on as well? Anybody ever try colored leds in their place? Just curious.
