I just installed a Sparco R100 seat, sliders, and sparco base in the passenger side of my 07 Z(auto). I moved the OEM seat belt connector and wire over but have noticed now that i am getting the air bag light due to the Sparco's not having the air bag weight sensor. Is there a way to bypass this and keep the factory airbag system functional? I searched a bit but must either be too tired, or simply missing what i need.

I am planning to do the Driver's side swap tomorrow so i was hoping to get this figured out asap.

As an update to this. Both seats are now installed. I have tried using the resister method to "trick" the system with no luck. I also stripped the weight sensor out of the original seat(effectively destroying the OEM seat in the process) and am now getting the airbag light flashing 5 times, off for a sec, then holding solid for 5 seconds. The process they repeats.

I have also tried the airbag reset method with the same results.

Any hyelp would be greatly appreciated.

 

couple things:
1) did you properly secure the weight sensor bag and roll it up? so it has constant pressure
2) did you use a ohmmeter to test your resistors so they total up the proper amount?
3) did you unplug the battery prior to doing any of this?

five flashes on my fsm says RH curtain airbag... you sure you counted correctly?
