any time its in the Sun, yes.

plus it kind of goes againsts standard vehicle interior design theories.. youd not want to upholster the center console or any area that is touched often.. has buttons, etc.. its like upholstering your TV remote control in suede,, see what im saying?
Pain it, wrap it.. carbon fiber it etc..

this car here done by a shop in Jerusalem, has the right idea.. keep simple and repeating patterns and textures throughout ( like our cars use the pyramid square dots, headlights, door sills, rear stb, door handles etc) .. and keep the bits yyou put your hands on shiny and smooth and all the same.

^that looks awesome.

I feel your pain on wiring.

Ive done ECU 3 times, gauges 3 times, air cup suspension 2 times, n20 and stuff for others. Oh and a wire tuck

If you think its going to take an hour...itll take 3 to do it right.

wiring is a time killer fer sure tho.. the rewards will be fantastic when its done tho.

So the car started having issues again.. Were thinking the non oem main o2 sensors are the culprit.. I also had some more electrical gremlins..
Apparently the add a circuit used to add my ignition wire to the accuair system burnt the terminal and behind the kickpanel fusebox a few inches.. Yikes!
So that was fixed.. Also we re routed my catch can and pcv up to the intake area near the turbo, weldded a bung etc so the catch can stops seeing boost etc.. Werre thinking my mysterious oil consumption issue is due to this crank case pressure issue.. Probably pushing oil past the rings..

And the new oem o2s go on today.. And we moved the main ground point for the stereo and accuair electrical.. Searching for a parasitic draw in there.

Aside from that.. The body shop is waiting on me now vs the other way around..

My good buddy dimitri is working at vivid in a few weeks.. So that helps me get some more odds n ends for the z soon.

Namely a cusco cage ( yes im aware its only for looks and perhaps rigidity..look at the car .. This is not street driven more than 4k miles in a year, most of which from one shop to the next lol)
I THINK IT WILL LOOK GREAT ALONE WITH MY ENJUKU K HARNESS BAR THAT ARRIVED YESTERDAY... WILL OF COURSE BE CHANGING THE COLOR OF EACH BAR..EITHER A DARK METALLIC SILVER OR WHEEL MATCHING RED.. SAME EXACT POWDER.

i also had a conversation w takata racing usa and theyd like to be a part of the car build, but only when its completed like my picurtes... I cant say i blame them.. But thats going to be dope.

Looking at a set of drift 3s// not sure on color yet. Leaning towards black.

My o2 sensors always report bad things, I'm just going to wait till I get the PPE LTH's to replace them again

I have called Enjuku racing so many time's about buying that harness bar and I feel like I just get fed a crock of ****. I've tried calling to order one and they keep telling me they're sold out....then they'll give me a call when they get them in stock again. I never get a return call. They wont even sell me a non powder coated one (I'd like a lime green) but would go with the red color.

just pay for it online..
i got an email a week later stating they are back ordered 4 to 6 weeks and no custom finishes or bare finish available.. would i like to refund etc.. i said no, i'll wait.
The total time wound up being 1 month purchase to receipt. was faster than he quoted. Free shipping then as well.. 349 total.

so Greg and Vinny ( the guy who is basically Powerlab) came out to the house last night along w Dimitri ( BBS350z) and we all stood around and acted like dip ***** as they worked on my car a bit.. they changed up the PCV system as it was routed to the pre turbo inlet just after the air filter.. but wound up producing tons of oil smoke in the intake plenum doing it this way (closed loop)

He swapped some things around, had drilled out PCVs, a check valve or two and addeed a passenger side breather filter... and BOOM..
not only fixed the crank case pressure issue and the oil smoke issue.. but it smoothed out the hesitation i had always had before..
most thought it was related to stock fuel rails ( which i will swap out asap anyway tho).. but this wound up being a perfect solution.

Not a speck of oil thru the intake ( as expected) and all is well.

Ill most likely relocate the brether filter to avoid any oil mist in the engine bay.. and Ill re route some hoses to keep it lined up and pretty, but yea.. later on we will weld up AN fittings and run stainless line for everything.

The car is still very rich and needs a re tune, but I feel i no longer have a catastrophe of a car in my hands.

I took it out late last night for a run and beat on it up to 18 or 19 psi.. all went well..

perhaps i will make it to HIN after all this year.

( my seats are black and would wind up being black suede, w the Cusco bar in the same red finish as my F14 wheels)

Im going to get off my duff tonight and install them and see how far up they sit.. i may need to modify the base again like i did w the factory seat rails.. we shall see.

this is true. getting it finished like the photo will happen before the new year. Still waiting on the wing.. and the diffuser and splitters will be the next round after that.
The Body is up in the air tbh.. i need to find a place to mod the front fenders together.. im hoping someone can do that in a weeks time.. im going to start adding parts on this weekend tbh.

Im going to hang most 90% of the kit myself.
put it up on jack stands and let the air out and just use a jack to lift the wheels up and down to test fit and clearances etc. Kind of nice not having to deal w coil springs and letting the car down slowly on a jack to test fender fit.

most likely it will be me and Dimitri (BBS350z)

im confused, you mean red? Lol..

so me n Dimitri got all gay and put my seats in last night.. holy sheite muslim.. the passenger seat sits up HIGH as fawk.... as in , it hits the roof w no headliner lol.. sitting in it is an impossibility lol.. theres not a ton or room to drop the front bracekts due to the inside transmission tunnel fwd botl.. but the @ss end can drop down like ... a ton lol.

Hers the passenger side:

and drivers side.. big difference.

So.. it goes to get the cut n welded this weekend hopefully.

I started reinstalling bits of the interior and damn.. i forgot how utterly classy and pretty it was. I may have to stick to that look tbh..

I test fit up the "Jacksons build" interior gauge hood pieces.. camera flash didnt work but its going to look cool as HELL. I will most likely skin them with carbon fiber for strength.. but i think they need to be either brushed alum to match the interior trim.. or upholstered in suede.

The fit is perfect as is, so i want to keep the thickness down on anything i cast over it.

ANd yeah.. this Sparco material is cheap as hell.. these need to be leather and suede ASAP.

oh, and theses star dast flares are flexible as hell.. i held them up to my superleggera fenders as is.. and they will fit over them with very minor effort..

SO.. no more fender crisis.. im going to get off my deek and start mounting sht up TONIGHT.
stock fenders go on as a reference to fit the bumper up and line up the Rare JDM aluminum under tray..

once thats solid and bolted on.. i can pull the oem fenders off and mount the Amuse..
i need to bond in some washers behind the fender bolt locations to space out for gaps etc.. and then its fkn GO TIME.

Im tired of waiting around.. were just gna do this stuff ourselves and be more proud of the result. I got air tools.. im just being a lazy pooseh.
