Default What is a fair price for a pair of seats?

[IMG][/IMG]Whats a fair price for a pair of stock 04 350z leather power seats. One problem with them the driver side sometimes gets stuck in the up position (how much could this cost to fix is my main question?)

They're going into my 05 which the seats are destroyed

The guy is asking $300 for the pair.

I sold my OEM grey leather - heated and power without airbags (I removed them) for $500.

are you saying the new seats that are $300/pair have the issues? I don't know if there is a way to service them, or course you can disassemble and remove the disfunctional parts, but I don't know if they sell just the replacement parts. And may it's not the motor but the switch…my switch got sticky and wouldnt work all the time. I would scope ebay for replacement parts before you dive into the project. To tell you a price would be a complete guess.

by chance can you take your 'destroyed' seats, assuming they are power/heated, and salvage the parts for the new seats?

Well my old seats are just really torn up. The driver side is also stuck completely and won't operate at all and its stuck in an uncomfortable reclined position. Passengers power works with no issue

I'm trying to budget myself $500 on getting some new seats.

He says that it gets stuck sometimes but you just have to "start over"? And it'll work and it hasn't/doesn't get perm stuck in position

I found someone in town who will re-do my seats for me.

$450 for vinyl and $650 to be redone in leather.

So is it worth the $200 to do the leather?

Oh PLUS whatever it costs to fix the driver power.

Reasonable?

Is that price including install on the covers? You should check out interior innovations. Good quality and competitive pricing.

Check out leather seats dot com. You can buy your own leather seat covers and do them yourself. They have some packages at around $550 or so. They are good quality. You can then take that opportunity to add a little padding to the sections that need it.

There are also similar packages (vinyl) on ebay for around 250-300. They are English or chinese companies. Some on here have them and say good things about them.

If you are willing to put in the time you can redo yourself. Took me about a day to do mine but I redid one twice and did more than just my seats. Good luck.
