Unhappy Side Skirts

Hey guys, I got a problem. I think I got low balled when I bought some side skirts. I need some help identifying if what I got is fake or real. Local body shops have been no help at all because where I live most places don't do special body work. I bought some duraflex n-1 side skirts for my ride and the don't match up length wise. I'm aware that some modification needs to be done, but length doesn't seem like it should be a problem. All the local body shops say I got fakes but they do have a serial number on them and a duraflex stamp. I'm so lost. Someone help!

Duraflex is basically also a "fake" or copycat brand

Wait.. You are afraid you got replicas of duraflex sideskirts?

Duraflex is a replica company. There is a good chance that they don't fit. Read some reviews on duraflex and extreme dimensions. They say they have gotten better over the past couple years but I have only dealt with them once. But there is a vendor on here under extreme dimensions and he seems very helpful... I think they may exchange your kit for a possibly better fitting one if you give them pics.

i'm in the same boat, with the same model. I sent them the pictures and they say that they have to be modified, but they still appear to be shorter and the fit is off. Let me know what they tell you or if you get the Extreme dimensions guy from the forum.

Extreme Dimensions is the maker of this crap.

They also make: Carbon Creations, Coutor, and yes Duraflex

All of this will have 100% horrible fitment and bad customer service. Just Google it and don't waste your hard earned $$

Spend the extra money upfront on good sideskirts, I too have a pair of these and didn't ever bother to try and make them fit. It would have cost more in the end to do that than to go buy good ones.

Based on all the comments here one can easily see that you get what you pay for. I bought some duraflex parts last year. That chapter of my car lasted all of 2 weeks. Soon after I got me some authentic Veilside parts and I couldn't be happier. Good luck OP.

some of their side skirts are way off, i know someone that got it for their Z and even after modification it was way to short, you're better off returning them and getting them from another place. Ive got a V2 front bumper from duraflex but it fit just fine, guess i got lucky on that one.

I think they are only still n businesses because of stupid high school kids that don't know any better.

I can't imagine an educated person would spend money on them knowingly.

VIS is good if you don't want to spend a whole lot but if you want to spend a little more on a replica, Shine is probably the best.

Duraflex . VIS . Shine . Authentic

That's the order it goes in. Except Shine doesn't offer nearly as many styles

With less selection means that more Zs will look the same...

Thanks guys. Yeah I did some more research, even called extreme dimensions. I got screwed. Lesson learned for sure! Bummer though. Does anyone have a brand that would be good to check out? I still would like a body kit just not sure where to look seeing how duraflex is all that ever turns up on my search.

Hey,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with our parts. Did you purchase them directly from us, or second hand? You said you called us, do you recall who you spoke with?

Shoot me a PM with your order number, or give me a call directly, my number and extension are in my sig below.

Thank you,
Irving
