Thanks, that makes perfect sense.

Thank you for the info! In the pic is looks like it extends under enough to take place of undershroud; do you still have the undershroud in place with the lip?

I never got an aluminum undershroud but I know that if i get rid of the lip I will buy one. I did take off the plastic cover that used to be under the car if that makes sense. Everytime I took off the lip it had the plastic cover which will never do as much as this lip does so i took it off.
So the answer to your question is no, the thing I use as an undershroud is this lip

Anytime. If you were closer I would let you just see the lip in person but utah is quite a hike.
And just so you know, I think my lip was originally bought back in 05, at this point it has numerous holes from scraping and rubbing but she is still holding up great. Turning yellow as would anything carbon fiber

I can get a pretty good deal at Vivid Racing; have bought plenty of items from them and they work with me. I was looking at their front lip spoilers and side skirts and wanted to get some feedback on certain ones, I don't need way expensive, but want good quality + fitment, plus clean look to go with the amuse type 2 rear wing. These are some I was interested in (besides the varis):

lip:

chargespeed "kouki" cf
damd
seibon (ts, tt, cw) cf
shadow
ings lx hybrid

side skirts:

bomex side step 1
C-west
chargespeed
shadow
ings (several models)
do-luck
veilside version 1,2,3

Make sure it's the kouki on any of those front lips, the zenki won't fit on your front bumper.

Not a fan of mix matching kit. Some work, most doesn't... purely subjective though.

I may even consider going with a full front bumper cover like this Amuse; a very cool clean look imo.

The kit looks great it (says fitment is good), got shine's email and may call them also to get some details about some of this kit. Thanks!

* I was looking at the spec A, V2, S; A really stands out; does A stand for amuse (rep.)?

click on the bumper cover pic for larger; looks nice!

Man, I'm really leaning towards this beauty of a hood; MCR (frp material). Besides the styling and heat removal, it maintains the HR "hump":

*what do you hotrodders think?

Get the MCR hood. A SoCal member (ShadowHunter66) has one on his Nismo that I've had the pleasure of seeing in person and it is stunning. Such JDM.

Good to know! Yeah, MCR is big in Japan/racing. Did your friend paint his the color of his car or different? If I go for this I'd want some good color opinions from the forum to go with my smb color, this could look fine as smb, but could also be finished as a "standout" piece! Do you know if they use the oem style of hood latch or if hood pins only? I would go with hood pins regardless.

^thanks for the pics above Zach, is that your car?

I would paint it smb just so it doesn't look too obnoxious. Its already a glorious and aggressive hood as it is so just paint it to match to keep a clean look

Haha, I feel sorry that he could only come up with such a "humble" build! That car has a real Wow factor; very cool build from his early start to where he is now with it. You're right, that hood looks bad a$$! I rember seeing his name on this forum.
