Spoiler ideas?
Question: does this plug install from outside the car or need to remove hatch panel to access the hole? I'd think that I could figure out a fairly simple plastic/metal round piece that could be sealed in place. Or else I'd just buy the online part.
I just ordered this, looks nice and seals both sides.

Yeah, I'll be taking other new parts to them in the next week or so to paint/install and I'll just have them touch this plug up with matching paint; should look good. I like the double seal of it too.
Car is coming along great BigBlue. It's going to look so clean when you get that amuse kit installed. Looks like the shop did a good job with the San Marino Blue paint match which is no easy task. I'm digging those seats too by the way.
I love seeing nicely done SMB Z's

Thanks! Yeah, they matched perfectly as well as smoothed out top surface to mirror smoothness; hope they do the same on the bumper cover/side skirts. I may do something with the rear, but will wait and see how it all looks together cuz I like the rear as is for now. The owner of shop is coming here in a few min. to pick up these parts; hope it all fits up well! *the shop name is "OCD" (obsessive custom design), they do fine work on old hot rods ("big" club here) to new cars and I'm lucky they are 1/2 mile away.

^thanks, I'm excited to see it all painted/installed. The car will transform quite a bit with the body parts, including the race hood that is on it's way from Japan. Should look pretty aggressive once it's all complete.
*note: just got back from espresso at a Starbucks, a shiny '12 Porsche GT3 parked next to me and we were talking and he was complimenting me on the Z; me to on his 911. He lives here and man o man that car is track worthy right now; what a beauty! I owned a '77 911S for a few yrs. long ago, but didn't realize just what the GT3 was all about, just talked about his monster brake system, then I got home and looked up the GT3 on Porsche's site (you should check it out), saw a white one exactly like his on the site and woah--$130K, 475 hp, 195 mph!

Took the car in to the shop today; I saw that the front bumper cover and side skirts were primed and ready for fitment process; didn't see the diffuser, but hopefully the parts will fit well without major issues. These Shine parts are supposed to be a good fit.
I know that there is supposedly some trimming of bumper cover required on bottom sides where it slides into top of diffuser, but I know that these guys will get it to where it puts a smile on my face. Since diffuser is pretty big and bolts all the way to back 2 bolt holes, I had discussed a week ago with owner (had a couple of sketches I scribbled down) the making of a nice custom door that exposes the entire oil pan; will be removable yet maintain strength to the piece.

It's actually a very easy task. If a shop told you it was, they are simply justifying trying to charge you more or justifying a poor color match... I'm an auto painter by trade... Not a hard color.

Shine parts ftw, oem fitment yet flexible. Can't wait to see it all done.
