I've contacted both Shine and Vivid Racing and they are putting some $ numbers together, also, I may be ordering the MCR racing aero hood/bonnet through Vivid if their total price is ok (shipping is pricey from another country); otherwise I have an account with Nengun Performance and would just order that piece directly from Japan like I did my Bride seats (fed ex was over $500 for seats/rails).

One thing I was asking Shine and Vivid is regarding "clearence" of the Shine Spec A front bumper cover with my Stillen SC kit air filter; my oem does, but it's tight and hoping to have room with that Shine piece, their pics look like it would be similar to my stock cover.
*Shine spec A:

*my stillen sc air filter setup:

So far neither are sure, but both have said that being that air filter sits above bumper beam there shouldn't be a problem.

My guess is that if the OEM fit than you will be fine with the shine. It doesn't look like it leaves you with less room

Do you know if they use the oem style of hood latch or if hood pins only? I would go with hood pins regardless.

^thanks for the pics above Zach, is that your car?
I honestly meant to post this in another thread. My bad lol.

Hey Zach, any way for you to post a couple of close up pics of your hood underside? Reason is I'm going to buy one of them there MCR's! However, I have the Stillen V3 SC kit which needed some specific "cuts" in the hood frame to clear the blower and throttle bodies, etc.

I know that the FRP material will be easier to trim if needed, but I just wanted to know what you may think about clearence with the MCR and the Stillen V3. I'd surely appreciate some good pics because I'm buying this sucka anyway because it's one of the best Z33 hoods out there.
I have a seibon carbon fiber hood. It fits just like my stock one basically.

Thanks and good to know. I emailed back and forth with Z1 because they too sell the hood that I want. He said that I may still have to trim a bit here or there to clear certain spots of the SC like the stock hood, but the MCR is frp material and would much easier to do any trimming as opposed to the stock metal. The local custom shop that works on my car should have no problem making a great fit.

I looked at pics of the underside of the MCR hood and due to material it's made out of, from what I can see it looks like the frame structure is more compressed and may not extend down like our stock hollow hood frames; I hope anyway lol!

MCR under hood:

Amuse wing ships tomorrow (fri.) and a few hrs. ago I placed my official order for the Shine Amuse Spec A items today: front bumper cover, front bumper diffuser, side skirts. All items are the FRP material, should ship in about 2 weeks.

Thanks, I look forward to getting the stuff; supposed to fit up well and I hope it does. I like the looks of that kit; I think I'll wait and see before I decide about the rear, I like the looks of the car straight on from rear as is. I'd have to get a rear bumper and/or diffuser that would go well with the exhaust and It would be a must that it look better than current or I won't change the rear, we'll see. Got to check if Shine has a spec A rear setup haha!

Well, well they do have this rear piece (spec a "half bumper"):

*Do you guys think, that rear piece would "F-k up" my rear look? I like how she sits now!:

Here is front diffuser, can't tell if the piece bolts up in place of undershroud of if the shroud is still in place.

Best way to pop off the rear hatch cover (lower part as for drilling to attach wing)? I'll soon have the wing and it takes 8 bolts so I just wondered what best technique to remove it without breaking plastic brackets, etc. The shop could do it all, but I may have it already removed for them; I know that I could slowly pry it off with a sturdy plastic tool, but anybody have good tips/experience here? I only did a quick search; part shipped today from Cali!

I just ordered the MCR (Matchless Crowd Racing) racing aero hood! Ordered through Z1 performance; fair price and lower than other sites when it comes to shipping from Japan, etc. I'm stoked to get these items installed; hood will be about end of June.

^pm'd. Damage is right lol! Body parts yesterday, more today! I figured that I'd be getting this hood later anyway and the guy from Z1 Performance (not z1 motorsports) had emailed back and forth with me and he quoted a final cost from Japan delivered and it was several hundred less than some other sites that sell this cool piece, even Nengun in Japan where I got my Bride seats would have been at least 3-4 hundred $ more, so this was a good fair price; a lot of changes going to happen to the car soon, but I need to go get an ice cold Keg of Michelob and sip/chug/beer bong away my $$ sorrows hehe!
