Logo contest for Suite E grafX
Don't worry, I am not going to repeat the antics of a certain other gentleman found in these posts. We will award, whether we use the winning logo or not. The only disclaimer is this. We need at least 5 (five) people to enter. The contest will not be given the go ahead unless five people consent in this post to entering this competition.
Alright that's out of the way.
What we are after is this. A simple expressive and unique logo. Something in keeping with other automotive style logos
What does the winner get? A choice of two things.
#1. A B pillar, mirror, and emblem filler set in real CF. Retail value $240.00.
or
#2. A 25% discount applied toward the purchase of our 5 piece dash kti.
I know this award may not appeal to everybody, but it is what we have to offer.
And I repeat. whether we use the winning logo or not, the chosen winning logo designer will be awarded his prize as immediately as possible. The decision on the winning logo will take no longer than 7 days from the date the final entry is received. I don't know what laws apply here to us but I hope if I keep things simple and keep our promise to award there should be no problems. We enjoy a pretty good rep here and wish it to continue that way.
So all you wannabe designers, start your adobe engines and answer here first so I can set a start and finish date
Thanks,
Rich

OK some guidelines
The contest cannot begin until I have at least 5 people willing to submit. Do not post ideas in this thread, it just isn't a good idea. And to give you some indication of what I meant by 'automotive style', please visit this page first http://www.rpmexpo.com/ and then click on the link - exhibitors list (PDF). There you will see a handful of logos from many companies. They are fairly simple, easy to digitize or reproduce cleanly. So, so far we have two ready to go. Any more?

focus of your business. Do you have one certain
item that you want to stand out.

Just about anything we can make. The Z is a good example of the breadth of our focus and product capabilities. We wish to do this with other cars down the road too. We have done a little OEM and hope to expand on that. For the upcoming RPMEXPO we will introduce the metal dash for the Z to the buying public. But you guys will see it in a couple of days. Its a surprise.
Also this logo should be adaptable to a roll call sticker. Vinyl cutter friendly.
OK we got 4 so far.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd they're off!!
We have the required minimum. The five that have accepted this challenge thus far are: zeroday, JPizzle, illegal imports, neurosis, and finally dsmal.
I am trying to be as fair as I can and make the rules easy to understand also. Don't want any screw-ups on my end. Since we have the 5 initial contestants the contest shall begin. Official start date will be today February 4, 2004. Entries may be continually submitted until the final day and time. The final day for submitting entries will be Wednesday February 11, 2004 at 9:00 AM Pacific time. Entries may be submitted by mail or by electronic means, but all must be RECEIVED no later then the above time. Although we have the minimum 5 contestants required to begin the contest, other people are free to enter at anytime and submit entries with the same chance of winning as the initial 5 do. Entries will be judged and decided upon by several people. We will be looking for the art that falls best within the guidelines set down in previous posts. Please read them and follow links provided.
The winner will be announced no later than Monday February 16, 2004, The prize will be awarded, or arrangements made for the awarding of the prize within 3 days of said announcement. So if the winner chooses the CF exterior package it will be mailed immediately. If the other, it may take a week to get ready.
I tried to cover all the bases here but if there are any questions please ask.
Best of luck (and skill) to all!!!

I have a question. In your current logo, not sure if it was intentional, but you have the letters S E and X much larger than the other letters...is this a feature of your logo that you would like accentuated/kept or not? thought maybe you were goin for the whole sex appeal thing..dunno.
thanks
great idea btw. should be fun.

One more thing-
You are not limited in the number of submissions. Ideas come flowing and there are many ways to do this. Send as many as you want. We print them out, post them on a wall and let several people view and vote. Joe and I have the final say, but we are swayed heavily by the opinions of many here.
