So my hid bulb went out and I just got a new one that I'm trying to replace. When I went to take out the bulb a clip fell out and I didn't get to see how it was put on. Now I can't figure out for the life of me how to put it on. This might be a noobie question but I am a noobie

Im uploading a pic

Here's a pic of the bulb socket and the clip it had on

Looks like you're missing the screw that holds that down. Is there a little screw rattling around in the housing?

Never changed my bulb in my Z but working at Napa for 5 years gave me plenty of experience on changing bulbs. From the looks of it, the end which you are not holding slides into that hole right next to where the bulb goes. Then you put the bulb in and press the clip against the bulb, slipping it under the other side for it to latch.

It is really hard to explain over the computer.

That's not how it goes though.

You're missing the screw which holds the clip on.

Without said screw, it's not going to stay on.

Do you have a picture to show me, maybe a thread with details, or a video?

The hole circled in red is where the screw goes.

The clip has a straight section and it goes in the slot beside that screw hole. The screw head goes over the clip and it acts as a hinge point.

The clip will just rotate in the slot and then the green part does hook under where he circled.

What the heck headlight housings do you have? That's not bent the same way as the stock clip and that doesn't look like a D2R housing....

That's what the 03-05 housing looks like.

There you can see the screw holing the clip wire down on the left side of the bulb hole.
