Default AutoPower 4 Point Cage Question

Finally got my AutoPower 4-Point/Harness bar cage.

It's the weld in model and I'm curious to see how you guys have yours welded in (if you have an autopower weld in style)

Pics would be appreciated, thanks!

Is there more than one way to weld it in?

Obviously not, just want to get an idea of how it sits in the car before starting on mine.

Are you a good welder and a fabricator, because if not, I would leave it to the professional to tackle this job. There is no turning back if you screw up a weld.

My pops is going the be doing the welding and fabricating, that's his line of work. I'm just trying to see where the mounting spots meet the chassis and strut bar, wasn't able to find any good pictures.

I'll find out this Sunday when I get to work on it I guess

Got the cage in and damn, looks really good! Hardest part about the install was painting my roll cage!

Decided to go ahead and bolt it. Didn't weld because I felt like there would be to much pressure on the welds since it's just a 4 point and the weight is going to be resting on just 2 spots.

All in all, it came out awesome. Really stable and tight.

Pics will be up as soon as I have access to my computer!

Not a rollcage, just a rollbar.

Must be nice to be short. I can't do anything like that in my car because I have to have the seat all the way back.

Didn't know you could just bolt this in without welding. Interesting... Did you have to cut anything or it just bolted right up?

Yah, I didn't either. I was going to get it welded but when I got the rollbar in the car, it made more sense to just get it bolted in.

For the most part, it bolted right up, the back legs where it goes to the strut bar was the most difficult part but my unibit made life easy.

Bolted it to the strut bar with 3 bolts on each leg with lock washers and locking nuts.
Bolted to the chassis on the floor with 4 more bolts.

Sturdy as a rock, definitely made everything stiffen up.

Now I have to figure out a good way to run my Takata harnesses!

Same man, just keeping busy with work and school and the Z of course. Been having some issues with it, can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

As soon as I figure out what's wrong with my car, I'm going to finish off suspension. Coils, sways, end links and all new bushings.

Hopefully all goes well, good hearing from you again man!
