Default Where do the wires from the dome lamps lead to?

Hey all, I got some LED strips from diode dynamics and I want to wire them in parallel with the dome lights. I dont care for the switch, I want them to come on when I open the doors.

Thing is the wires arent long enough to reach all the way to the lights so I was wondering if they lead to somewhere along the bottom of the car?

It's either the driver side or passenger side. There's wires going down the drivers side that connect to a connector behind the pillar. I don't remember if they are for the mirror, dome lights, or both.

Pull out the weather stripping next to the pillar and it'll be easier to pull out the trim. Slowly pull from the top. There's like 3 metal clips going down the middle of the trim piece.

A pillar is where the windshield is. B pillar is where the door latches. C pillar is where the hatch is or where the back doors latch. D pillar is the back window/hatch in 4 door cars.

They are in the driver side A pillar but I ended up running the wires up both pillars. I tried to connect to the wires in the A pillar but I couldnt get a good connection where they would turn on with the dome lights.

Followed a DIY and everything was perfect.
