I started to try, but I had issues trying to get the back off if I remember right. I wasn't prepared to take the risk.

Back OT, I've installed my wheel and am surprised how much it transforms the interior. As the primary touch point in the Z, that's to be expected, but I always liked the original Z33 steering wheel. Still, this new flat bottom wheel has some heft that feels good in my hands. The leather grips are a touch bigger than stock and enhance the "kidney bean" design of the OEM design. I posted earlier in this thread that I wasn't interested in this mod, but it only took a private seller who offered a modest discount to get me to try this and I'm glad I did.

Dude they are truly awesome, specially if you want a OEM looking wheel. I've always hated aftermarket wheels. Any pics?

This wheel has no particular embellishments; just pure black with ventilated leather and the CF. Works well with the rest of a no-frills cockpit.

I’ve been searching for the same thing and was almost about to buy one from VQ Vortex. Could you refer your private seller to me? Much appreciated!

Sorry- I don't typically refer a seller without their permission. I do know my CF wheel was the only one he had for sale and it took several months before an offer and sale occurred.

I think I know who you bought it from, he used to live here. Anyway there are several vendors you can try, Carbon fiber element, Endless RPM and others on IG. I got mine from Endless.

Thanks for the replies. I remember seeing Endless RPM mentioned somewhere in these forums before. I will for sure check them out. I have also found some other vendors such as Wolfza Carbon Fiber, Carbon Cartel, and Carbonsteer. Their prices vary quite a bit and their customization options include a matte carbon finish. Has anyone had any experiences with these vendors and if anyone has seen the matte finish option?
