Default antifreeze smell in the car

2006 350z has a bad smell in the cabin when driving it smells like antifreeze however the passengers side under the dash is dry and has no such smell. it’s seem like it’s coming ng thru the vents

How many miles are on the car?.. It sounds like your heater core might be on its way out.. Does a film develop on your windshield when you put the defroster on?.. To test the heater core, you can unplug both coolant hoses at the firewall in the engine bay and connect them together so that the coolant cycles, but not through the core. If the smell goes away, then it's the heater core.. Just make sure that after you connect those hoses, and before you conduct the test, you refill and burp the system.

He makes it sound easy, those hoses were a PITA to get to for me. Those clamps did not want to cooperate.
