Default Parking Lamp Relay

I am working on a 2006 coupe with lighting issues (to say the least). The previous owner had done some wiring of lights that I am trying to undo. I now have headlights (low and High), and turn signals left and right, front and rear. However, now I am having difficulty with the parking lights. I have checked fuses 71 and 78 in the ipdm-er, as well as fuses 1,6 and 18 on the J/B, and all are good (tested with a test light while plugged in the sockets). In addition, the fusible link F appears to be intact. However, I have no parking lights or tail lights. The fsm refers to the parking light relay, but I cannot find it in any diagrams or layout pictures. Does anyone know where it is? The headlights and high beams relays "click". I hear no click when turning on the parking lights, so I cannot find it. Could it be on the backside of the ipdm-er?

Any help would be appreciated.

CAUTION: None of the IPDM E/R-integrated relays can be removed.

SYSTEMS CONTROLLED BY IPDM E/R
1. Lamp control
Using CAN communication line, it receives signal from BCM and controls the following lamps:
● Headlamps (Hi, Lo)
● Parking lamps
● Tail lamps
● License plate lamps

The high/lo headlamps are external along with the fuses. Are you aware if the parking/tail/license plate relay is integrated to the board?

I'm having the same issue finding the AC relay....the fact that the FSM indicates that the "none" of the IPDM E/R-integrated relays can be removed indicates to me that it is a part of the board.

But that is just my interpretation.

So today I removed the IPDM E/R and there it was soldered to the board. Anyone have an old IPDM that I could scavenge a relay off of or know a place I can get a Taico YTB1 - 225L relay? I can see physical damage to the relay - melted out the side.

If you can, please post a picture of the IPDM and the relay that you found. and all others that can be seen by pulling the board. I have read through many threads but none have such pictures, so this will benefit the community.

Good luck finding a replacement. thanks!

An on-line search will probably reveal several sources for your relay. I believe the manufacturer's name is spelled Taiko.

Default Pictures of IPDM

I removed the white plastic cover from the IPDM. There are five relays soldered to the board. The relay that is bad is seen in the second photo. Found some online but they ship from China and will take 4-6 weeks. Was hoping to find one sooner. I am sure there is an equivalent from another manufacturer but I cannot find the tech specs for the Taiko. Even worse, I am sure these get thrown away every week at the Nissan dealership every time they replace one of these things. Need to get my hands on one of those!
