Yeah, I don't want an emblem on the rear either.

Hopefully either you or Scott comes up with with an exact design like that one in the picture, and I will be BEYOND happy :-)

Can we have a 'design an emblem' competition?

That's nice also, is that one available or just an example?

That emblem looks too much like the Courtsey Nissan emblem.

I really really really really like the orginal emblem that started all of this. Don't you all think? If everyone is wanting to spend time and come up with dozens of new ideas, then I'm out..

That latest one was nice, but I have to agree with Webiteks, we need to go with the one that this all started from or else before you know it, there will be a hundred different designs, and we wont get anything. Just my thoughts.

I've got to agree too. Let's not get sidetracked or start a design contest. If you like another emblem, fine. Start your own thread, don't hijack this thread please.

Thank you guys. .

I really want to keep this project on task so we can ACTUALLY get something something done RIGHT AWAY and not be sidetracked, causing frustration in those who want a new emblem.

This emblem that had orginally started this is very nice, classy, and has ALREADY been created, so we know it's already possible and people already are ready to get this going.

Lets get going guys!

I'm ready to get one right now. I had already ordered and received a Courtesy emblem but have not installed it because I'm waiting to see how this goes. I would much rather have one of these than the Courtesy emblem.

There is a difference. The roadster is smooth with no holes under the emblem. The coupe has two holes. Here are some photos from some previous threads:

Put me down for one, but I'd hope the finish will be better

Natal.....What a relief! Thank you very much for your effort in helping me out. So what I saw is what I saw! It was really "buggin" the hell out of me. Now I know for sure, I will only need one emblem. Thanks again...... Jerry.

I only have one Z web but I have a good friend that has every Z ever produced so it would be only right to get him a set for his new Z.

Hey guys, If I may make a strong recommendation. Please take the time and really think about this. Ask yourself this question? How many Z emblems do I need on the car? There is already one on both sides of the car and then the new version on the front and then the larger size emblem for the rear because the original rear emblem is smaller and then you have the 350Z to the left. I feel it would look gaudy in my opinion. I saw a Z with no emblem on the rear, my first impression was impressive because it looked cool and sophisticated. Just picture this scenario...your sitting in your car or driving around the people in the car behind you look up and say "WOW" what kind of car is that? Nearly half of them won't even recognized the 350Z to the left and even if they did they will still say "wow, what kind of car is that"? the point is this, without the rear emblem the car carries a certain stigma and mystic about it! That's what I like! Now, I said my peace. I understand everyone has their own preference if you want 2 put on 2. Period. End of discussion. Thanks!
Sluggo makes a good point, I was thinking about that same thing, do I need four Z emblems on the car...

I'm in for two if the finish is better than this. It looks like it's been sanded. How much would it cost to have the emblems chromed if I took it to a chrome plating place?

I know that non-US info. sometimes gets disregarded on this thread , but I thought it might be useful for you all to know that the 350z emblem (which its been suggested is the right finish for the new emblem) is metallised plastic. I took mine off this weekend.

That might help when you're looking for options for suppliers since it opens up the field a bit and may help costs.

Cheers
Stuart

I just got a new job and will hardly be around my computer to keep up with this project. I MAY be able to get on once or twice a week for the next month. . .

Would anyone else be willing to keep track of the OFFICIAL ORDER?
