Hello, this is my first 350z and I got it about 4 months ago and I have to say I am loving it. I recently got a job making enough money for me to finally start modifying the car to my liking. The issue I am running into is that I have never done bodywork before. I want to know if I could mix two types of body kits. I want the +40mm in the front and the +80mm in the rear and the overall design of the widebody kit pictured but I wanted to use a different front bumper (which is also pictured). I personally will not be installing it because of my lack of experience in body kit installation. I just need to know if anyone knows if they will work with each other or if I should just stick to the bumper that is part of the widebody kit. I apologize if this is a blatantly stupid question but I'm curious.
Welcome, but there's a few things to know about widebody fits. First, they are not very tolerant of daily driving and tend to chip/break easily. Blending two types of kits makes it even harder, and are not an easy task to get right. You'll need an expert bodyshop to blend the lines together and be prepared to pay them 50-80% premium to put the labor in to mount the panels. Beyond the time lost and thousands of dollars spent, you need to ask yourself if you're willing to accept the inevitable drop in performance you'll subject your Z to. All that fiberglass is stupid heavy.
You need to ask the competent body shop who will be doing the work. And don't forget to ask 'em "how much to do this?"
Personally, IMO, my taste and perspective only.... Zs are best when left body-stock with maybe a some small aero. All that wide body stuff.... well, if it's not actually adding performance and it's just for parking lot points, ehhhh. Don't get me wrong, I love trick body Z cars. But few are done RIGHT, COHESIVELY, and most look "slapped on".
BUT... it's your car and the only one it needs to please is you so good luck. Hope you have allocated the $8k-10k in parts, body and paint to do it right.
In all honesty, I'm going to agree with yall. I did not take into consideration the performance drop. I would also rather use the money I allocated for the widebody kit and do a little bit of aero and other prevalent mods. Thank you, everyone.

All you need is a slight drop and some nice wheels, spending 8k plus on body mods is not the best idea when starting out.
