Default Question in regards to rust

Hi, I bought a 350z recently and the roof of the car has a very tiny spot of rust. It needs a new paint job as the clear coat of the front bumper is pretty bad and there is a lot of chipping. I got it used and was planning on needed to fix up the body a bit.

What should I do? Can the rust be treated when I am getting the paint job done or am I SOL? Am I going to need to buy a new roof?

New to the modding scene and I am planning for a few months down the road, so budget isn't really a concern at the current moment. Sorry if this is a dumb question or something that is asked a lot.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome- depending on the size of the rust spot, you could using a rust converter on it. Apply according to directions and it will chemically alter the rust and allow it to be painted over. Consult your local paint shop to determine if they can deliver a quality paint job with this method.

Another solution is to sand them, apply primer and then wrap the whole roof.
