I recently purchased 350z LED front marker daytime running lights from Z1 motorsports and have an issue with the wiring. They provided basic installation instructions but even though the example shown is said to be wiring for a 2006, it is different on my 2006. If any one could help inform me on where I need to splice the DRL wires into on the Wiring harness that would be mush appreciated.
DRL wiring
FWIW when wiring sheets describe a wire as "X/Y" that means the main color is the X, and the Y is the accent color being a stripe or dots. Z1 almost always produces videos for their products. Search YT for "Z1 DRLs".
Gl!
If you can take a clearer picture of the wiring schematic on the DRL module, I could help you out with the wiring. That picture you posted with "I04017" is too blurry to determine which signal should be feeding the red, yellow, and white wires.
Since the DRLs flash with the turn signals, one of the wires will splice into the turn signal 12v+ wire.
I'm also guessing that the other wire should be spliced into the headlight 12v+ wire in order to dim the DRLs when the headlights are illuminated.
And the third wire should be connected to a constant 12v+ source.
The black wire should be ground (that one is easy).
On your 2006, for the RH headlamp, the wires are as follows:
R: HID high/low 12v+
BR: high beam solenoid 12v+
B/W: HID ground -
PU/W: turn signal 12v+
B: turn signal ground -
R/L: parking/side marker 12v+
For the LH headlamp, it is:
R/W: HID high/low 12v+
R/Y: high beam solenoid 12v+
B/W: HID ground -
G/W: turn signal 12v+
B: turn signal ground -
R/L: parking/side marker 12v+
B = Black
W = White
R = Red
G = Green
L = Blue
Y = Yellow
LG = Light Green
BR = Brown
OR or O = Orange
P = Pink
PU or V (Violet) = Purple
GY or GR = Gray
SB = Sky Blue
CH = Dark Brown
DG = Dark Green
