Default Tow Hook License Plate Relocator Other Options than Stillen?

Hey guys, I've ordered 3 different tow hook license plate relocators from eBay and Amazon thinking they all can't be the same, but they are, and all of them are too big. I did some researching after, and I think I need the 16mm version. I've only found Stillen's option and its $80 + tax + shipping and I don't want to spend over $100 for this mod, especially when the Stillen relocator has just one position (center).

What other options are you guys using? I don't understand why the sellers on Amazon/Ebay lists these as for 350Z when they all clearly dont fit.

Thanks!

What year is your Z?

I seem to recall there being a different size dependent on the year.

you can fab a triangle plate, and drill your own holes to drop down the plate holder to your desired height level.

take your OEM tow hook to the nut and bolt store and get a hex head bolt with matching threads, so you can use the hardware you already have.

i will add some pics of my ohh so basic modification to remedy this dilema. there are a couple of threads on here that cover this issue.

Thanks, my Z is 2004. I'll ask the sellers to see if they offer different sizes for the different years.

Thanks, I'll try searching for those threads, but I don't have the tools to fabricate what you did.

Yeah, same here. I'll have to figure something out. Its a matter of time I get pulled over and ticketed for that, and other things.

You need the 16mm version. 03-05 use 16mm while 2005.5-08 use 22mm.
