Default (REVIEW) Amber LED Side Emblems by z327

Took the opportunity to install the side emblems that z327 made for me yesterday.

First off, props to z327 for prompt service, taking the time to do a 'burn-in' session on the units before shipping them, and for including a set of instructions as well. All in all, a thoughtful little setup he's got going.

Secondly, quality of the items was tops. The new emblems were in completely new condition, the holes drilled out were centered in the little squares, and everything was epoxied nice and tight.

The wiring was pretty simple as I'd already installed a new 3 wire harness for my clear reflectors up front. I just made a "T" out of a set of new connectors and plugged them inline.

The only thing I did differently than what he suggested in the instructions was to pull off the old doublebacked tape (it wasn't that hard to get off and mine were really not very sticky)

Everything went in great as it worked the first time in, and still continues to work.

A few thumbs of some snapshots:

(640x480 and original snapshots available here at my website)

They're made by z327. Here's a link to the "Z Side Badges with LEDs" thread.

Someone should combine Evo-R's Z4 LED side marker with z327's 3 dot-LED Z emblem!!!

That is what I had planned to do for my LeMans....combine the Evo-R z4's with these. I'm not sure how the wiring is done on each though. The wiring might get in the way.

Just the three dots light up. link to z327's website in my sig. Very cool, very subtle mod. Pretty cheap as well. There's plenty of room for wires behind the fender, take a look at the pics.

Night shot pic... i'll see if I can get one at dusk later.
