Default 03-04 automatic shifter change?

I like the 04 automatic shifter alot better than the 03. Would it be possible to change them? What do I need to do? Thanks for the info

Yes, I think it is. It's got the same mechanism just different *****. Some people here changed to Momo where the shift button is on top instead of the side. The '04 Auto has the button located forward. Shouldn't be a problem. Good luck.

both the '04 and momo shift ***** are about the same price so really its a preference thing. does anyone know if you need the 'shaft adapter' that was at the bottom of the performance nissan link to convert the '04 **** to an '03?

Its not necessary if you don't mind a little DIY work. Randall and I have both made this work using the 03 shaft. You just have to cut your own groves to hold the pin in. It takes about 10 minutes.

Very cool thanks for the links. By the way which of these MOMO boot did you actually get, does any of these work?

As far as the shifter we have two options. I'm liking the Satin Aluminum better. I guess I just found my next mod.

Get the Momo Performance Black. The top end has a threaded insert that will fit the bottom of the Momo **** perfectly. Beware of the all satin silver Momo ****, it gets really hot in the sunny days. I chose the other one with black.

Damn dude calm down and try not to CREAM your pants, it's not that intense. Read through this thread it tell's you where he found the boot and shifter. There's also a link to another thread where it explains that detail on how to do the install. Try these links.
