Default Cooled seats.

I saw a comercial for a mini-van (I believe built by Chrystler) that comes with cooled seats. My Z brought heated seats... for no purpose since I live in the tropics and it's 93 degrees in the Summer and 90 or so in the winter and more humid. Has anybody heard of cooled seats or had them installed? In theory, it should be possible to get a system from a Chrystler or an aftermarket one and have the heat one swapped. The same spot could be used for the buttons... Lemme know! Thanks!

I'm not sure how easy it would be to use as those use the a/c to cool the seats and it might be a quite a job depending on how it would need to be re-routed.

I'd sure be in for a group buy!

That would be the shiznit. I couldn't really use it because I've got cloth seats, but still would be cool as hell feeling that cold air when you sit down on a hot sticky day.

Default I know what you mean

I lived in Panama for 3 years and you need more than a cooled seat. You need a refrigerated car.

hahah.

And I didn't even have air conditioning on my Bronco II.

We sweated out gallons.

jajaja! "gringott"... hmm... you definitely lived in Panama just for the "gringo..." part. You're so right. Maybe I should just get my fridge streamlined like a Z and then put wheels on it. It wouldnt be as f@lken fast, though... jajaja! Seriously, though... The cooled seats would help a lot. Nice to hear you were down here. I'm starting a Z33 Owners Group down here... we're having our first meet this Saturday. Take care, gringo.

They way aircondition seats work in Ford Lincoln cars is that you have perferated leather, and your air condition ducts come up from the bottom of the seat, into the seat and cool air blows out hte perferated leather.

an Awesome feature.

I have a nice backpack with two padded strips up the sides, and mesh between them, it does a lot for keeping your back cool compared to straight up padding down your back. I don't know that it would be the best for a long-distance car seat though.

Default I found a firm that sells

A kit with both seat heaters and ventilation (cooling).
Let me know if you want the link.

Basically, it is a set of fans that blow air thru the seat perforations.

Why not just cut some holes in the floor, run some ducts and have them force air through the perforated leather? You'd be like a hockey puck on an air hockey table floating around
