Default Installing OEM bra(nose mask)

Any instructions here on the site? The search feature here is not working right. Is it in the service manual also? Thanks.

let it bake in the sun before you do it.. The leather will expand and it will go on ALOT easier.. still its a stretch.. the hood is more difficult to close with it on as well.

it should have come with instructions.

you need to remove one screw from under each front fender and replace them with the Button screw and washer that should have come with the Bra. I cant remember which one exactly to change out. if you spread the mask out like your putting it on you can see where the snap on the mask will line up to the screw.

You need a small screw driver in order to get the clearence between the fender and the tire. you need to turn your wheels all the way in for each side you are working on.

Then all you need to do is fit the mask over the bumper.
The small panels slip into the assembly seem by the headlights.

You must warm the mask up for the first few times you put it on in order to stretch it out, otherwise it'll be a major pain to put on.
You can throw it into the Dryer for 10 min. after a few time it will fit NP.

The instructions also say to not leave the mask on your Z if it gets wet. Your paint will cloud up and get ruined.

BTW: I never use mine after I got the clear bra.
Much Much better IMO

if your hood wont close easy you can loosen the feet on the underside of the hood. they will give you more play so it closes easier. it goes on easier and easier each time you put it on.

Hey this is the best way to get that thing on...Take your car to the Nissan dealer for a oil change and let them know you want the bra on when their finished....quickest way to get it on plus you get a oil change although it'll cost you $24.95 plus tax...but hey you saved time getting sweaty and greased up

I really think you can do this yourself. And, like El Diablo said, it is not something you leave on all the time, so you will want to know how to do it yourself. Warm it up like suggessted (sun or clothes dryer - I use the dryer), switch the 2 screws, open the hood, start at one button, and kinda work your way across the front.

I do the buttons first, then kinda pull it down, do a hook on the bottom, and then start doing them all.

Give it a try!

I have a set of instructions I can scan and send to you. Send me a PM if you still need them.
