When I got home tonight it had FINALLY stopped raining so I decided to slap on layers #59 and #60! Yeah, I am insane.....ANYWAY, I "installed" what I like to call a MINI-Mod. My new valve stem caps from Courtesy Parts.

hehehe... dang, Bonz... I'm beginning to wonder if you're my long lost brother or something. I added the Nismo valve stem caps from Courtesy about a month ago!

i got a question for you bonz...i was planning on detailing cars in the summer and went over to autopia.org for some very useful info
the amount of products discussed on that site can make your head spin but there are still plenty of zaino faithfuls...
ive been using zaino ever since you recommended it so much...i definately love it but i have a couple of concerns (and please be honest)
1. before i put my body kit on (meaning before by car was basically repainted) i was putting zaino on almost every weekend...it finally came time where i was able to seal the fresh paint so i started again...i was a believer that the more layers the better..but people over at autopia believe that anything more than 4 layers in unnecessary...they say that zaino should last for 4 months and a simple wash and Z6 should be enough....they say that its just a waste of zaino...i believe that 10+ coats in 2 months is good...but do they have a point?
2. after washing a z6'ing the car yesterday i noticed that zaino was reallly attracting a lot of dust...i thought it might be the towels (electric charge from teh dryer?)...so i posted somehting on autopia and many people agreed that zaino, while being very durable and giving a good shine, is a big dust attracter.....have you noticed this?....the cali duster did the job but there was a LOT of dust only 3 hours after i z6'ed it

I think that for the first 10-15 layers it gradually got better. Deeper is the word I would use to describe it. It then kind of stagnated for the next 10 layers or so and then for some reason it seemed to really deepen again.
At about 25 or so (I don't remember for sure) Sal came out with the new formula Z-2 and Z-5. I then clayed the car (only the second time ever counting the very first claying I did when I first got the car) and as Sal said, it didn't remove the Zaino. It still beaded like crazy (See this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ght=bonz+zaino )
And I applied the new formula and BANG, it really started to "POP"
again. So now we are talking about 30-40 layers. Do I notice any improvement beyond that. To be honest with you, no. Do I still enjoy doing it, absolutely.
As for the dust, I completely agree with you. It really does seem to attract a LOT of dust. My Cali Car Duster is with me at all times in the back for a quick dusting anytime I need it.

Hey Dr. Bonz do you happen to know what car Sal drives or his last name? I think it might be the same Sal that I know.
