There's this guy that owns an Audi S4 from work with tinted tailights and headlights. It looked like it came from the factory. It was a flawless job whoever did it. I asked him where he had it done. The owner gave me this website. Check it out: http://www.jonstintedtails.com/
He said he had to take the taillight housing off and overnight ship it to him(Jon), tint it once received, then overnight ship it back to him. Total turnaround time is 3 days.
He's well known at VW Vortex and ClubB5. I've been reading up on him. Everyone is very satisfied with his work.

 

hmm i wonder how much he charges.. im sure i can do it for less.

 

depending on how much he charges theres a few options.

1. far and away the cheapest without a doubt. batmobiles overlays, itd be like 30-40$ for those 2 things. probably less the the overnight shipping on those 4 lights 2x.

2. bring it to any reputable paint shop. they should have no problems laying down a coat of translucent black paint. and a clearcoat on top. probably cost 2-300$ if I had to guess. this would save on time, 3days is still 3days, and the shipping on that will probably top 100$.

 

He e-mailed me back and quoted me $85 for the taillights and $95 for the headlights. Hope that helps..

 

thats not bad, though I bet shipping will kill you.

check out some local shops to see what they will get for it. and see what shipping will be exactly. itd probably be much cheaper if you did 2day or even ground, but then your looking at a week or 2 turn around.

I like the way the headlights came out on that Black Audi, but the tinted/black taillights haven't quite won me over...

I'd go with Bat's overlays if I were you.
