Default Rhino Ramp Help

I just bought a Rhino Ramp 8000 for my Z. I have about .05 inches from the ramp to my lower front fascia.

My question is, I don't wanna try and drive up and crack my front bumper.

Anyone use these ramps, it is the low clearance one that says 17" incline, perfect for low clearance vehicles, but it seems the Z is too low.

I really don't wanna try this by myself and tear my bumper up. I also have the 18" Track wheels, if that matters any.

And are these ramps high enough for an oil change?

Any help would be nice, thanks

I bought the exact same kind last month and it works perfectly. I use to have a Sears ramp and it won't even clear your bumpers. I also have a dropped Camry with a bodykit and this works great too.

Okay, I tried going up and I scraped a little underneath. So I backed down and removed the rubber inserts. Now the car goes up and down with no problem.

My question is this though, is the purpose of the rubber inserts to make sure the ramps don't slide when you are driving up them or are they there for stability?

I am still keeping the ramps since I only paid $19.95 and I can use them for the Maxima.

I put some wood just in front of the ramp, so it lifts my bumper up that much more, was waaay to close

Default My Experience

Regardless if you have 17 inch rims or the 18 inch rims your overall diameter should be the same so that should be a non issue. If it is lowered that could be an issue.

Let me say that I have 17 inch rims and have not lowered my car and have no problems whatsoever.

I have Rhino ramps and I have no clearance issues, although it gets very close.

The rubber stops on the bottom are for grip purposes so that the ramps don't move back when you drive up them. In my case, the garage floor is too slick and the ramps move anyway, so I use long 2x4's that meet one end at the base front and the other end meets the wall.

I am looking into buying some of these ramps. Is there a specific set of Rhino ramps I should look for? I know nothing about size and specs for Rhino ramps.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm dropped with eibachs, and never have a problem clearing those ramps. However if I put a lip on I may but, all I would have to do is put some boards and climb up.

jeccorp: I bought mine at walmart, I think they only sell one type.

Ditto the wood. Put a 2x4 in front of them to help the wheels up at the beginning and you shouldn't have any problems. Can be a bit tricky getting on the 2x4 if you don't roll onto it but other than that it get's it high enough to start up the ramps w/o issue.
