Default Nismo Rear Wing Pricing

I got a quote for the Nismo Rear Wing, $350 + shipping or $290 + shipping for the replica.

Is this about right? Do the spoilers come prepped ready for paint? Whats the install charge and paint fee on average?

Last, whats the difference between the real thing and the Replica? Can you post pics of the Rear Wing and the replica?

Thanks for any help you can provide me.

If you buy a replica, more time than not you'll have fit and finish problems. From what I've seen, the replica tips on the spoiler touch the body which is NOT good. Also, the NISMO part will be lighter.

Not sure if I can post this vendor,

The Nismo Rear Spoiler will not be available until early next month, price will be $350.00. Please let me know if you are interested in preordering it. But I can get you a replica for $290.00 plus shipping.

Sincerely,

Does the base of the Nismo wing cover any holes that you have if you have a stock spoiler? I really like the Nismo wing and want the real thing but I don't want to deal w/ filling holes.

From what I have heard, they use those OEM holes and 2 more other holes need to be drilled, not 100% sure though.

Nismo Wing owners; Please post some news about this wing, thanks

I am still wondering if this wing is prepped, ready for paint, and the average cost of painting and installing this wing.

My first mod to my Z was a replica Nismo wing. It was also the worst choice I have made. Prepped and ready for painting is not accurate as far as mine was concerned. The installer had to sand and fix many imperfections on the wing then he primed it and painted it. Was about $350 for all this work which I gladly spent at the time because it looked good and fitment was decent. This however did not last long because soon the top of the wing started to warp and you could see imperfections in the fiber glass through the paint and also feel ridges from the fiber glass... To make matters worse someone tried to steal the wing and cracked the sides and bent the top.

As far as OEM holes these are not used, not with mine any way. 4 holes will need to be drilled and an installer can fill the OEM's or find a way to plug them. They are not seen when the wing is on. I now have the Carbon Creations N-1 wing which is a Nismo based CF wing and all is well.

Do not waste time and money on replicas... get the real thing.

Guys, check out the other recent thread about the Nismo US kit pieces being released this past Monday. I've already bought the front lip spoiler. http://www.leeauto.com/parts/350zp.html

$305 + $22.62 for shipping is not bad at all.

What is this option,

Rear Spoiler Deck Lid Stays, $229? Is that the OEM spoiler???

Might be a two piece spoiler. I think the "rear spoiler deck lid stays" is the middle base that sits on the trunk.

No idea but I looked on courtesyparts.com and they have the nismo items up and don't have the lid stays... someone's gonna have to call to see what they are.

They do. You have to click the "scroll" icon next to the wing...

I just checked my service manual, and the stays are what holds the "back door" open. So...these might be stronger ones to hold up the added weight of the spoiler.
