That's exactly what happens on the internet, people get screwed. It happens more often than not. Naturally people were wondering what happened to you since you talked up this company so much, promised pictures of this great guage kit you were purchasing to match some other guages you have, tried to get others to purchase it & then disappeared.....I'm not saying thier quality isn't good or they don't sell great products, heck you started this thread then went with another manufacturer...........best of luck to anyone wanting a mixmatched color theme!!

Man.. I've been telling people for over 2 years about Black Cat Custom, and barely anyone responded about it.

At the time, the car wasn't out yet. The owner needed the cluster so he could get the pattern.

Does he have the gauge face patterns for the U.S. spec 350Z?
I was told I could get blackout gauge faces for about $100-200 (I forgot).

Someone go and find out what the bulb used in the Acura RSX is. It's a nice shade of intense furnace red. Someone else go and find out what the LED colors used in Volkswagens are. That crazy blue/indigo and red color. They look nice too.

THere's numerous writeups on how to change your own gauge cluster's color on other forums.

Well, judging from the pictures the needles are lit by an LED. There's no point changing that.

The LCD must be lit with 4-6 LEDs. I've seen this with the trip meter. I'd mod this as well.

I'm going to assume the backlighting is still incandescent. Once I get my blackface gauges, I can change the backlighting to anything I want. It's going to transition from blue to white and vice versa.

The problem? Removing the needle and putting it back precisely.

No, I mean there are already pictures of the actual cluster being modded to fit new faces.

ACP modded his center gauges with DEFI guages. He simply pulled out the needle to remove the faces and gauges and took a snapshot of the circuit board. The LCD for the trip meter is easily pulled off to reveal 6 surface mount amber LEDs. Backlighting here is provided by the LEDs as well. I'm not sure about the part # for them yet.

That's how I got the idea how the Z guages light up.

They're all lit with LED. Lots of new cars are like that now. As for the the 350Z, it's amber.

Some older cluster lighting colors are with the use of rubber caps (condoms) placed over a regular incandescent light bulb OR the gauge faces are "pre-tinted" with the color (Prelude).

Here are pictures of my Luxeon modded gauges using blue, red, and white Luxeon LEDs.
