Default Had Wreck - Need suggestions for Hood/Bumper

I just rear ended somebody and tore up my front bumper and hood. "Technically" it was my fault. I won't go into that now.

Anyway, I have a 2004 SS Roadster with 19" Vold GT-7s and I would like to take this opportunity to just make it look as badass as possible. I need suggestions for an aftermarket hood and front bumper. I'm going for a mean look.

What is the best quality brand of hood to buy? Which one do you like the best?

Same for front bumper.

Thanks for the help.

Stock front bumper is cheap to buy and paint so consider that.
Hood runs around $400 I think so aftermarket may be double.

Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I think the stillen one was out although I understand the quality is excellent. A little too porschey for me.

350ed,
How cheap is it to paint the stock bumper? I know the bumper itself is around $200. What about the hood.

Rayden2001,
Thanks for the links some interesting choices. I was thinking about going with carbon fiber to avoid paying for painting. I have been trying to find a pictures of a SS Z with a carbon-fiber hood, but I haven't found any good pics yet. Which manufacturer makes the best quality hood, VIS or Seibon? I'd rather pay for quality than paint.

Thanks again.

I think a good quality carbon hood would cost more than the stock hood plus paint... at least very similar price. Some carbon hoods out there actually weigh more than the factory hood too. Carbon looks great with almost any color so I would worry about that.
Also I wouldnt buy a aftermarket front bumper unless you get the whole kit. It wont look right. I saw an INGs half kit on a roadster on here that looks pretty nice. Also the carbon creations carbon fiber replica nismo kit is awesome. The whole kit is relatively cheap and good quality.

i'm waiting for some pics with cf hoods on SS as well. IMO i think cf would look particularly nice on SS, so you should definitely go cf.

Since your color is SS, you can easily find used front bumpers (people going aftermarket) and stock hoods (people wanting CF) in our classified section. If you can't find it there, PM people with SS Zs that have CF hoods or new bumpers. You'll save yourself a lot of money that way (that is if you change your mind about aftermarket).

Thanks for the advice guys.

tonywenzel mentioned front bumpers not looking right without the matching kit. I was thinking about getting just a Nismo front bumper. Any ideas about how that would look without the rest of the aero kit?
