Dammn shift knob
Hey this might be a stupid question, but Im having trouble geting the stock shift **** off, i try turning it counterclock wise, but it aint movin, can someone help me out here..... for 6speed 350z. thanks

Yeah, the shift **** can really be tough to get off, and it seems the earlier production 350Zs are a little tougher than the newer ones. The above link is an excellent description of the process, but you may want to see some of the problems that other's encountered. be carefulr in removing ****. Can damage shift real easy. I'm posting the page from the Nissan Shop manual. pdf. If you have a problem opening, I'll send by e-mail drbtc@adelphia.net
It says to protect the **** by using a piece of hose, but I found that by using a strap wrench it was very easy to remove. Using a set of pliers and a hose you still have to use a lot of force and clap onto the ****, with a strap wrench the strap locks it self onto the **** and a lot less force needed to grip onto the ****.
