Looks good man. Just wondering tho. I saw that you mentioned it would cost twice as much to have it made in real cf in the last post. Why is it that we can buy cf hoods for about 700 but it would probably cost more than that for a console alone? Not criticizing, just wondering. Isn't there a mold for them?

And remember hoods are rather simple, albeit large parts. They have 3 main points of attachment. The forward latch area and the 2 hinge points. It is alot differnet than duplicating the functionality of your dash panel. That dash panel has skinny little posts on the back which mount most of what you see. The guages at the top, then the storage housing mechanism, then the stereo. This panel must fit snugly in the confines of the frame created by the dash itself. And it must attach cleanly to the shifter finisher panel, which has its own hidden attachment points and functions. The only way I can imagine doing it in a low vloume setting is to make an overlay or cap for the OEM part to retain the factory mounting system. Or maybe just draping the CF over the factory part and finishing it that way. But I have seen jobs like that and they do nothing for me. The resin is very thick and fitment is not the greatest. Warping because of high and low temps becomes an issue too.
