Mini Lights have arrived!
autobahn, an "s" is a honda s2000 & he was saying he found a match to the amber turn signals wich may(or may not) be very close to the amber inside our cars. he previously mentioned that there was just about every color in the full spectrum with his kit & couldnt see why this color would not be in the available spectrum of colors. he was only trying to help as he has been asked numerous times in this thread about the amber match.......hope this helped

Seeing as how I'm the one who fills the orders, I can answer that one
Other than a couple of lighted windscreens, no 350Z owner has picked up any of the products. I've sold a boatload to S owners, but no 350Z guys/gals.

MacGyver,
This may have been said before but it doesn't seem like you have done a good job in "productizing" these lights for application for this group. For instance it may be more attractive to people if:
1) You actually post pictures of the light lighting up in a solid "amber"
2) Wiring diagrams on how to tap into the "dome light" circuit or the "door circuit" so people can wire them into the appropriate circuitry
3) Locations of the wires people need to tap into
4) Preset the lights to light up in amber (of course people could change the color later on if they desire)
Otherwise given the cost of these mini-lights it's just too much work and expense for an uncertaiun outcome.

I'll answer each point the best that I can:
1) I do not have a quality camera, so any pictures I personally take are not going to look very good. The real problem, though, is my version of amber is going to be different than everyone elses... the moment I take a pic of a specific color, someone (everyone?) is going to come back and say "That doesn't match up at all, these suck!".
2) I sell these to just about every imaginable vehicle type (Lexus, Honda, Porsche... working on a supercar dealership at the moment). To even attempt to post wiring diagrams for every car would be futile... I'd never get any other work done. I would be surprised if any other company had the time to do the same, too. I don't belive I've opened a product off of the store shelves yet that had car-specific wiring diagrams... I'd love to be able to offer them, but without others helping me create them, I just don't have the resources (some windscreen owners were nice enough to do just that). If you need help hooking it up to a maplight, though, you're probably better off taking it to an install shop.
3) See 2 above.
4) See 1 above.
I honestly wish there was another answer I could give everyone, but I can only work within my means. At the moment, those means do not allow some of the "extras". I can respect anyone's decision not to buy because the outcome is uncertain, but when someone is willing to buy the first CF hood from an unknown company for $2000, it shows they're willing to take a chance.
I have done what I think is prudent up to this point (and that may change as time goes on and situations change). So far, no 350Z owner (to be specific, no owners on this board) has purchased my lights, other than the windscreens... I'm certainly sorry to hear that, but there's only so much I can say. I come to the 350Z board less and less these days because of that. Eventually, I will probably stop coming altogether, as I'm becoming too busy designing new products and filling web orders (I certainly can't complain with success). At that point, the only way someone will be able to get feedback is to email me or catch me at a show.
There should be a good mix of people everywhere... there were plenty of S owners who took a chance (and were glad they did), but so far no Z owners. <chuckle> It's not expected, but not shocking... it could happen with any group of people. If it takes a little longer for the Z crowd to start buying, I'll wait. So long as I have a paycheck at the end of the month, I'll sell to whomever wishes to buy.

As soon as my footwell tubes come in I'll try to take some quality Pics and post some wiring diagrams for them. I'm not sure if it will be done anytime soon as the Roadster is now in Hibernation for the winter and now there calling for snow on Monday.
I also plan on buying the dome lights after the holidays.
