Default Forum Lagging due to banner ads

Is anyone else having a problem with the forum lagging? I mean, whenever I open a new thread or go back to search the forum, I am unable to scroll within the page. Also, sometimes am BARELY able to type in the message box because of the lagging. I thought it was a problem I was having only at work, but it's at home too.

Anyways, I think its those banner adds at the top maybe. In particular, I *think* its the "Strup" gif, but I'm not sure.

Is anybody else having issues with this?

Don't think that it has anything to do with the banners but occationally the site does lag to the point where it appears my browser has locked up but it isn't since I can browse any other site with no problem. Right now, it's fine.

Sounds like a system performance issue to me. Try doing a virus/spyware full system scan. How old is your computer?

The only time I've ever experienced this was when I was using terminal services on a remote computer to browse the site.

It usually appears in the mornings, not so much the evening. Perhaps there's just more traffic then, or maybe some server issues at work. Right now it's fine and dandy.

But sometimes I also have difficulties posting a "Quick Reply". It takes too long for it to refresh and show up on the page, whereas at other times it's almost instantaneous.

No, I'm at work and it seems fine (for now). But I'll see if it lags throughout the day.

I was going to post the same thing. Yes, my comp recently started lagging (last 1 month or so) everytime I try to login or at the top of a post, where I see "Vidvidracing" etc. If I scrow down to where I can no longer see the ad., it's fast again. The new ad. by Mossy Nissan is much faster -- has no lag. I have DSL @ 1450kb and 512mb of ram, so maybe it's not me.
