Maybe not, but if someone is incapable of taking advice, learning, and adapting to the general pulse of the forum then they're going to get flamed for it / locked threads, and possibly even banned if they're bad enough.

Agreed, 100%. All I'm trying to say here is that it wouldn't hurt for the general pulse of the forum to lighten up a little, that's all. I mean, we're all fellow 350Z fans, right? Okay, there are the occassional trolls who would be the exception. But for the most part, we're all on the same team, loosely speaking.

I HATE when people waste there time with "search newb" or make lame comments like they're moderators because they have 345 posts and have been members since Jun 2005. Let mods be mods and clean things up a bit. They don't need our help in telling someone, "Hey, take a look at the rules of the boards and enjoy your stay".

IMO, post your post and ask your questions. Your best bet, if you can't handle being flamed for (God forbid) an already covered topic, PM someone. Most people on boards such as this will actualy feel honored that a "Newb" is asking them "Will my car run better with a tomato in my tail pipe, or a grape fruit in my intake?"

So good luck to you Semtex, have a great day. Now get out there and start posting!
good point dude, if you don't like the topic or think it's lame, just leave the page and go on to something else.

My mistake, I read your post wrong.

This will not happen... The general attitude of the forum has already lightened up. As I stated previously, the administrators cleaned up the forum and incorporated a new "nicer to newbs" unwritten policy. Members that did not fall in line with this new standard were made example of already. Bottom line is, it will not lighten up anymore. Those who chose to assimulate will fit in just find. Those that wish to buck the general flow of the forum will eventually become banned or face harrassment........Regarding your last comment, yes we are on the same team. We all share a common love for the car, and people such as my self who are fluent in a wide variety of automotive subjects are willing to share what knowledge I have to those in need.
