Default NSFW Avatars

Would just like to point out that several members (won't name names) are going back to old habits and putting NSFW avatars in their profiles. The threads a lot of us view at work are PG rated, but the avatar images can still be archived. I, just like anyone else here, like the sight of a pretty lady, but dress her up a little alright?

If the new moderators could look out for violaters and kindly ask them to change their avatars we would all be appreciative. Thanks!

If you go into the UserCP and go to Edit Options there is an options to show and hide avatars. If you feel that a specific avatar needs to be removed because it violates the ToU then please PM and admin or mod so we can review.

I can somewhat relate to the OP.. Some of the avatars push the limits. I'm aware of the turn off avatar option, but it's not the same browsing through the forums without avatars. It's easier to identify a member via his/her avatar rather than screen name. I personally try to scroll pass a racey avatar when reading post incase one of my managers happens to be strolling by. -2 cents-

Understood. It's just hard doing so, knowing that some of these avatars belong to our e-friends. It's like trying to tell your buddy that he's dressed like $hit when you guys are fixin to go out to a bar and you're embarrassed to be with him, and he should change.

Thank you for the support, but I have already addressed my concerns to Jason regarding one key individual. I urge the rest of you to do this as well whenever you encounter a violator, that way it will be private and you can maintain whatever relations you have with those individuals without them knowing.

Also, sometimes being a good "friend" means telling your buddy he's dressed like ****. I'd rather have it come from them than new people I meet in the future.

You have a point there... I use to use this motto with my ex GF. If she wore something tacky, I'd tell her. Most of the time she'd tell me I didn't know what I was talking about and say, "this is what's in".

Thank you Electricchild for bringing this up. It's becoming increasingly difficult to view threads at work because of certain member's avatars. I would suggest for those who choose not to hide them be issue a reminder.

I would normally agree with this, but unfortunately I am so damn good looking that my avatar would be NSFW.
