FI forum has to be the worst
By the way, if you want a good example of the FI forum marketing machine, take a look at the newest RA post. I smell an old fashioned FI forum witch hunt...
Jump on the bandwagon before it's too late!!!

Gotta laugh to see some people that have voiced their opinion in this thread contributing to it.

OH COME ON...
For Once I agree with Taurran... Haha
These mods are already picky and terrible with management with this site... they shut down things so quick... completely unnecessary. ITS A ONLINE FORUM... BIG FUKIN DEAL let it go.. chit happens
Personally I think The mods need to lighten up ALOT... and just let things go.
And as for Vendors... THEY CAN DO WHAT EVER THEY WANT in the FI section as long as they stay on the topic of FI. Like Taurran said this site runs of the Vendors money. Im supprised the vendors don't ***** at the mods for being so CONSERVATIVE..
RcDash is also right, If it wasn't for the posting of results from shops and calling out threads, I would have not known which shop to trust my build with.

I agree, the FI section is ridiculous. Sure, TONS of useful info but I'm also personally sick of all the drama threads that seem to dominate the forum.
1.
My suggestion, create a "FI Drama" subforum. That way, whoever wants to call people out, start drama, etc. can do it in one section that won't take away from the purpose of the FI section.
2.
And while you're at it, why not create another subforum titled "User and Vendor FI results" This is self explanatory. This can give ppl and vendors the opportunity to give themselves exposure and "bragging rights," per se. Although some vendors may think that they are just posting results of cars they have built. I think most of us see right through it as "clever" marketing ploys. This in turn causes the next vendor posting their results, and so on and so forth. It's just getting ridiculous how ppl have to prove who's better then who to get customers and pollute the FI section with these back and forth threads. LAME.
In conclusion;
The FI subforum's primary purpose should be to enhance and improve the knowledge base of the FI user.I think we are straying away from this objective, but it is still salvagable.
Drama and other threads have a place, but not in FI. I think it would be a terrible idea to close the entire FI section as legitimate issues and questions would then be lost. Instead of closing the section, split it up to the subforums I suggested. If the rules are not followed, ban ppl and close threads.

Why not just split the FI forum into two sections...General FI information/results and technical questions.
I also like the idea of having a section for each vendor. rx7club does this and it works great.

Bottom line is a lot of valuable info gets posted in the FI section. I would be very disappointed as a member of this site if it shut down. I originally joined G35Driver, but the my350z FI forum has so much more info.
I think the mods are doing a great job with the RA thread. Shutting it down last night was a great idea. Now they are keeping the jabbering to a minimum until those directly involved can post 1st hand responses. Kudos to the mods - gotta give credit where it's due
