Another example of the kind of childish passive aggressive attitude this site could do without.

I actually got PM's from a well respected vendor (who I have no affiliation with) who totally agreed with me, but didn't want to argue it openly with you. I guess your gripe session wasn't as productive as you thought.

Just let comments like that go man. Your forum experience will be that much nicer if you're not always wrapped up in drama, whether it's your fault or not

Don't worry I try (sometimes). Its amazing how many comments like that are let go and people never even get called by the mods. But yeah, I agree...

I think from here out I'll just start highlighting them all and posting links to the ToU.

wow I am impressed you are so well connected, I guess now i know why it got closed, the vendors who seem to actually run this forum didn't like it, oh well I thought there were some good suggestions coming out of there.

Have you stopped to ask yourself why every thread that has drama has you in the middle of it?

"Every" thread... Just more untrue generalizations.

Anyway, look at Wired's post in the FI forum. I'm all for it.

G'day!

I don't know Man. It seems like whenever I come on here, I find you insulting or berating someone. You actually do seem to always be at the center of drama around here...

Another fine example of a biased over generalization...

They've changed policies in the FI section. We'll see who can refrain from offensive posts and who cannot.

It will be interesting the first person that posts they've made 1000 whp on the standard APS TT.....<---as an example.

I wonder how long it will last.....haha...

Whether or not you agree with them....the mods seem serious about this.

I'm glad to see this change. It was long overdue.
Not biased...just making an observation...

How about this for a suggestion, if you don't like the moderation style of this board, go start your own, build up your own following, and then mod the site as you see fit. This is a forum, not some type of democracy

The reason I locked my own thread, is because people from both sides kept coming in and trying to stir the pot. As the thread went more and more off topic, people began missing the point of the thread. So I asked those involved, a direct question, and locked until the answer was provided. Of course, people are going to post their opinions, but after 5+ pages, I think enough is enough.

I understand Sharif's intent, but still feel a moderator deleting responses until an OP's question is answered is ridiculous.

And if a member wants a direct answer from someone and ONLY that someone, it should be handled through PM or email. If they don't reply, and you feel you want to let everyone know, start a thread saying that they didn't reply. But I see no purpose to start a conditional thread.

Once you start a thread in the public forum, it should be open to public discussion within the rules of the forum.

Once a thread starts going off topic, it grows in size very very fast, and the responses get more and more off topic. Why post in a thread about one topic, when the thread is discussing another topic? This makes it difficult for anyone to extract meaningful information from the thread, because eventually, people start posting "I'm not reading through 40 pages. what happened?" Then later on "I'm not reading through 60 pages. What happened?" And usually, pages 40 through 60 will be mostly off topic responses.

Of course, mixed in with the off topic responses are people who post speculation, insults, "stirring the pot" as it's been mentioned, etc

It should be a rule of the forum to keep serious threads, i.e. threads NOT in the OT forum, on topic...

And this is exactly why I did what I did. The thread in question already had 10 pages of OT BS. THANK YOU MIKE
