An no, I'm not talking about anybody in the FI threads!

I am asking about Vivid Racing though. If you remember, Sharif made a post a couple weeks ago about their new shop G37 with the baseline dyno.
https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/306543-forged-performance-2008-g37-coupe-baseline-dyno.html

Now look at what Vivid Racing is posting on NICO. They took Sharif's photos, put their website logo on them and are passing off the information as their own.

What would the action taken by the administration be if they behaved this way on my350z? Its not the first time they've done this either.

Read Z1 Performance's page for the Central 20 3.917
http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ne&prodid=1726

Then look at what Vivid has
http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...ducts_id/20063

They copied it verbatim, including the "install kits" that Vivid doesn't sell, only Z1!

i dunno, i just skimmed through the nico forum and i didn't see them say that it "was" their car. they only talked about it, but never claimed it was property of vivid.

the pictures clearly say "Forged" all over them, so I don't think they're really "stealing" the pics from Sharif -- if anything, they're giving him free pub.

only issue i see here is business ethics. they watermarked a picture that clearly isnt theres but its not like they took the FP watermark off (there isnt a fp watermark so the pics are 'fair' game)

It's probably good etiquette to at least acknowledge that the car they're showing is from another shop. They're implicitly stating it's theirs by NOT stating it's not theirs.

edit:If you read the whole thread VividRacing describes the ride quality of the G37 on lowered springs. They're probably talking out of their a$s on that one.

Its pretty low class that when one person does all the work, for somebody else to come "borrow" it and use it to sell products. Vivid wasn't the ones who measured offsets, got the test vehicle, ordered the wheels and risked having it not fit. But now they're using everything down to the pics to hawk products on forums where Sharif isn't a sponsor.

If they didn't think it was a problem, don't you think they'd have the ***** to make that post here?

I don't see it as free publicity. I've had my car end up on eBay before because people stole my pictures to use to sell their knockoffs of my authentic parts. It didn't get me any publicity or any dime. Do you think Sharif or Adam get any kickbacks from Vivid for using their work?

judging from the fitment, Forged didn't do much work to slap those rims on so Vivid didn't steal much

but I have always heard Vivid was shady...

I agree ... If they tried that on this site or any other site that is familiar with Forged they would get called out in a heart beat.

They still shelled money for the G. Aren't you guys members at Nico. If I were you I'd ask a "innocent" little incriminating question on their thread.

LOL, you haven't liked the pictures of that car from day 1 regardless of what I've said about the different offsets for the G37. ***.

Greg (AZHitman), their main admin isn't too fond of me. But I know some people who know some people...
