I know. I knew when I made this post it would happen. This forum is very predictable. I just decided I would take the heat for everyone that feels the same way I do.

maybe it makes them feel cool or important?

Yea, I wont change everyone, thats for sure. My real motive is to get people thinking about it. If people put more thought into what they are posting, I think it would help.

I agree. I think it is a sign of insecurity. I also agree that if we werent hiding behind the computer screens, we would be a little more careful about what we say. Cause then a REAL punch in the face might be involved. lol

Some forums are really awesome and some are like high school. This one is like high school. Everyone trying to out cool each other. And thats ok. You just have to come here when you are in the mood for it. Its not a great place to get much sympathy though. What's funny is I just joined an R/C forum for aerial photography and I'm already like their little adopted brother. They will answer the stupidest questions without a REPOST fest and post amazingly helpful information without any hint of superority. On this board you will wade through 4k posts and find one that makes the milk squirt out of your nose that makes it all worth it. That won't happen on my RC board. Stick it out. Oh, yeah. Sorry about your car.

I appreciate that VO I thought maybe a mod. would be on my side. I'm actually suprised no mods want to stop tons of flaming. hmmm, that could be a part of the problem, the mods dont care, and even contribute.

I'm a karate instructor, and the highest rank sets the bar. We have to set the example. If we ran around being disrespectful, so would the students.

just something to ponder on.

I'm gonna have to disagree with ya here. I don't believe the majority of people say "fighting words" on this site. They majority of it is sarcasm. Yes, it's harsh sarcasm, but sarcasm none the less. On rare occassions do I see people directly use rethoric that would constitute "fighting words".

The general demeanor I see around here is sarcasm. It grows, the longer a member has been active on the site. Personally, I'm sarcastic when it calls for it. Compassionate when it calls for, and informative when it calls for. Never do I make personal attacks which would be considered "fighting words", on the internet or in person. That's probably why I've never been banned...

I'll shed some light on this statement. In actuality, it has been noticed or it wouldn't have been moved to another forum section. The mods are always watching. The reason none have stepped in is because they usually like to let the OP's forum peers set the OP straight so to speak. What I have said is not in a derogritory way. It's like bootcamp in the military. If one troop screws up, the commander punishes the entire group. When the commander leaves, the group administers their own "disipline" to the bad seed. The offender soon learns to get with the program and assimulate. This allows to commander to look at more important issues for the better of the group instead of baby sitting one individual.

In your opinion, do you think the sarcasm goes too far at times?

Weeeeellllllll it is kind of rough sometimes, but like others have said, it's part of the forum demeanor and is not going to change for anyone. That includes you and me alike.....

What are they doing that is so much more important? This isnt the military, there arent much bigger things going on...

So I'm trying to fix all these bad seeds myself, thats not fair

well, if one doesnt try, it sure as hell wont happen If Martin Luther said that, where would we be today... just an example.

As long as we can talk about it, thats all that really matters right.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I just wanted to put it out there and discuss.

bro, you are looking too much into this.

IF your goal is to change people's personality, i doubt it will work. I don't see where you are getting at. Just post your entire point of view and be done with it. This is just an internet forum. As long as the rules are followed, it's all good.

or are you not looking into it enough? I already posted my point of view in OP. I dont think I will change peoples personalities. Only you can change your personality. My goal is to at least talk about it, think about it, and its up to you to decide how you act.

Is a hypothetical theory. Who really knows what they're doing, planting rose bushes....baking a cake.

The mods aren't paid to moderate this board, so when they do find the time to get on, many things are over looked. That's where the infastructure comes into play, veterans who've been around long enough to know what the TOU rules are, what should be searched, who can post classifieds, and where topics should be posted.

As you can see my friend, the mods still haven't posted but they are watching I guarantee. There's no need for them to post because everything I'm telling you is what they would tell you....
