Lightbulb What I think would make this forum 10X better...

Constructive Criticism, understanding/compassion, and forgiveness.

Were all human, we all make mistakes. We always will. Were all different ages on here. We all have different levels of knowledge. We werent born 60 years old with every bit of knowledge we will ever need. So whats the point of constantly flaming people for asking something you already know, wrecking their car. There are a lot of people on here who show NO compassion what so ever. Even if someone does make a mistake, do they really need you to tell them how stupid they are? Wouldnt it be better to be constructive with your comments? Whats the point of flaming? Isn't there enough BS in this world? I go to forums to learn, and honestly, it makes me sad to see all of the negativity here. Ive been on this site for two months now, and there are some great people on here, there are also alot of jerks. I could just leave the forum, Ive thought about it. What would be better is if maybe I could help people understand. Hey, it may be a long shot, but its worth a try.

lemmy hear your two pennies

it's hard to change peope's personalities so the best thing if you can't take it , is to just leave like you said. I have done that with some forums as well. If you think my350z is bad, you haven't been to other ones. My350z is great. I don't see it getting bad at all. Flaming is usually needed for some of these stupid thread that has been popping up lately.

like i said, if this is the only site you think is bad, i really don't know what to tell you. You must be new to internet or forums. One of the two.

I dont go around visiting every forum on the internet. I guess you're the expert. Just stating a point, back in the e30 forum no one acted like a 19 yr old who just go their first car, think about it. I probably wont even check thread again, so w/e. This thread will probably have like 3 pages by tomorrow..... sad.

Yep, helping is good - and a key to a good forum. Doesn't it bother you though when someone just creates an account, obviously has not searched and asks (with extra poor spelling and grammar) a question that is on page 4 of the owners manual?

Classic.

Compassion for stupid people? - nope ain't got none. When someone does something they, and they alone, are uniquely responsible for their actions. If you don't hold them accountable who do you hold accountable. I have compassion for the victims of stupid people. When someone street races and crashes their car I've got zero compassion. If they kill some 12-year old on the way home from midnight basketball I got all the compassion that I can muster for the dead or injured kid, but still none for the idiot.

None.

Its always gonna be that way. Ive been involved with a lot of forums in the past till now and everyone of them have this. The only way your gonna find a website without this is a bible following 350z site only and then you will get sick of them telling you to drive safe.

it may be hard for you to change peoples personalities, but I do it all the time. I can take it, believe me, but do I need it, thats the question. Like I said, there are some cool cats on this forum. I would like to leave as a last resort. I definatly wont leave cause you suggested lol.

please explain the logic of why flaming is needed. I would like to hear your point of view.

yes, it is annoying to see the same posts over and over, or answer the same questions over and over. I'm just saying some need to take a different approach to solving this problem. Maybe offer a suggestion...

None.
Compassion for "stupid" people. You act as though you know everything. You were one of those "stupid" people at one point.

Obviously you dont understand what forgiving is. Thats ok, I can help you If your willing to listen.
